I've worked with people who never announced that they were leaving. They just finished work one day and didn't come back. Since these are people I knew personally, I knew there were various reasons, but nothing "odd" about it.
Some people just don't like goodbyes and a big fuss or having to explain their personal reasons. I don't see why it should be any different for a host on a shopping channel.
None of them "owes" us an explanation.

It seems that typically in the past, hosts who left because they decided to leave have been given some type of good-bye on air regardless of how big or small. Christa Pitts had a very small good-bye but it was something.
Hosts who are let go just leave. One day they are there and the next they are gone.
Yeah Albany said she was leaving to spend more time with her family. Seems a little odd given the situation that she'd decide to leave at that time. But even odder is the fact that she is now working for Nick Chavez doing shows in Autstralia.
Albany didn't have to have a big good-bye party but I would think if Albany left on her own, she could have at least made the announcement in advance or after her show and said it was her last show. The fact that it was a very short blurb seems telling to me.

I only saw Albany appear on the Australian shopping channel that one time and she was referred to as a "Special guest". ARe you saying she is now making regular multiple appearances on that channel as a vendor for Nick Chavez products?

I'm so sorry to see her go, she was a favorite of mine. It seems like Shawn and Kerstin have taken over a lot of the shows.

It's my understanding, based on what Nick posted on his FB page, Albancy is a vendor rep for Nick Chavez products in Austrailia along with his sister.
I have absolutely no idea how often NC products are on in Australia. Maybe they are only on once every couple of months.

I liked Albany and thought she was a great host and aggressive sales lady. She was unusual and quirky, but there's a boatload of that at the Q.
My own opinion is she did not "decide" to leave for the reasons of the way she left. What really makes me think this is that if she left to be home with her family, she would still be letting fans know she is doing well and happy, not just disappear.
I think Albany will do well and be successful in whatever she does, and it's the Q's loss. There are newbies there who haven't the slightest idea how to sell.
