Re: Menopause Monday?

[ Edited ]

That Over 50 & Fabulous show  intro clip with Mally who says  basically adding exploitatives  bleeped out that  Women over 50 already know everything " People can't tell us anything " , so then why does the show  with her & Shawn  bring on so called experts providing products  that  they say  ease the  discomforts of some issues with menopause   that they want us to be open minded to ?

@rms1954 I saw this thread topic the other day and thought it was a joke.  Then the other night I heard Shawn mention Menopause Monday.  What in the world is QVC thinking?  Are we all supposed to bond over hormonal changes?  It is like they are grasping at straws.  No wonder sales are down.

@Puppy Lips   Agreed, it's literally horrifying, sloppy, and UNprofessional for starters. As my Nana said when she was in disbelief at the program guide, "This company is running on AMATEUR hour" The NO creativity starts at the top and runs thru the blood of the organization. You have to fault the CEO and all those behind the seenes that hold meetings we never see when they bring their UNcreative minds to the program guide table.

This is just a scratch on the surface and reflection of just how BAD it truly is at the Q that this shouldn't surprise anyone. A sinking ship with an Admiral who has NO clue how to steer the ship. MUST get rid of the CEO and clean house to get this sailing in the right direction. Just a pathetic and silly program name!! You notice how their 50 age slogan show and motto failed and haven't heard about that in ages. They keep trying to grasp for straws, its mind boggling!!

I was looking at shows and items for the day.  Is MM a new show?  None of those products have anything to do with this topic.  I find it absolutely silly.

I was watching a Susan Graver fashion show last night. It came to a point the Q2 host to do the famous walk on and tell what is coming up next on Q2. It happened to be something for vag dryness. The next think I know SG has her legs crossed and says " who me, my ****** is dry"so the other (host/ guest ) started holding their vag and was clinching their legs together and saying oh my vag is dry oh no" as they did the Betty Boop shy- who me act. Two of the hosts didnt surprise me. But Susan lost all the class and diginity I thought she had after that scene. I tuned in  a clothing fashion show.

I don't participate in this commentary very often, but this Menopause Monday has me disappointed in QVC.  In all honesty, I don't buy very much so maybe I have no right to comment!  The Q in QVC stands for quality- this Menopause Monday is not quality.  Have any true professionals been on the show or is just product sellers and a host who think they are authorities on the topic making raw comments on a natural process that all women experience?

How cringe of Susan Graver to do/say that. I did not see the show. Susan is a good sport though and always plays along to support QVC and other vendors. I bet that some of the hosts are not happy with menopause Monday, but they go along to get a paycheck.

I only just noticed this today?! I was looking at "items recently on air" and noticed it. Lolol...thought I was seeing things.

And the items?....one example...Philosophy Purity now is aimed at menopausal women?! And other items that didn't scream "menopause" to me. Ok, maybe some of the items they market as helping with some of M symptoms, I guess fair enough.....

But, really....

Whoooo came up with thattttt one?! To me...a fail at the get-go, imo, for several reasons. Just not appealing, or applicable to the products, or a "positive" target. Yes, menopause is just a natural part of life. Yes, QVC's audience, as we have been "beaten up with" is 'Overrrrr fiftttttty." But just not a great, or appealing, or even accurate to the products, marketing spin to me.

Oh QVCcccccc. sigh.
