Re: Menopause Monday - Really?

Well menopause came and went, I was so busy I barely noticed.

Sounds like a sales ploy to me, and nothing more.

Don't fret ladies, I'm happier on the other side of menopause anyway!

So well-said! Why would a has-been former host put down a woman working on QVC? Surely he has better things to do with his time??
Wasn't Steve Bryant fired? Perhaps he's angry at the company?

Re: Menopause Monday - Really?

How tacky for Steve Bryant to comment on anything going on at QVC now.  Sour grapes

Now is not the time for "feeling" and "hoping", @amyb

Rawlinson's done enough of that.

I have stopped watching live programming on QVC. It's not the Q from days gone by that I enjoyed watching and even took the occasional day off from work for special programming.

I realize I am no longer their target audience.  I wish QVC continued success but as my generation often says " don't cut your nose off to spite your face."

Appreciate your comment. I'm not a "regular" poster here. Given what's happening with "financials" I have been recently cruising for comments from our "generation" to see if there are any left who share my thoughts. I'm not "wishing any demise of this company" just ticked off at the downward spiral over my 3 decades of shopping here. At this stage I feel that I won't really miss anything.

I took off days from work as well for special programming back in the day. It was awesome and given the prices of precious metals and depleted gemstones in today's markets, I am very grateful for my purchases back then. It makes sense why "jewelry shows" have disappeared given current prices, I get it. I just don't think that "Menopause Monday" is making up for past "glory days"!!!

I'm waiting for this thread to be deleted as well as many other posts that dare to criticize the current ridiculous programming/products and any obnoxious hosts who host them.

I'll give you that it might look misogynystic. It's still true.

Re: Menopause Monday - Really?

I am 78, I am so OVER menopause. lol.  I have found the women who are most interested in menopause are those going through it. lol sooo true.  When you go through it, you look for solutions to,a particular problem you are suffering from. I know when my hormone count bottomed out they loaded me (and others) up with hormones (back in the day).  I had breast cancer 3 years later, as did many of my friends.  Then we were all talking chemo, radiation and surgeries. Women click together with a particular problem.  I am glad treatments aren't as secret, and archaic  as they were. Menopause is truely different for everyone. I don't ever remember symptoms, but what did I know  ?   Now....much to choose from, Drs are better at it, more treatments and advice, conventional or holistic. . It wouldn't be that way if no one chose to speak up.  I don't watch this show, but I am sure there is some benefit to QVC or they wouldn't do it.  There are others who don't post on these forums that maybe like it?  Just don't watch if no interest to you. I don't.   But we certainly can all opine about it. Lol
