The TSV is always kicked off by a seasoned host — Rick, Jane Treacy, Shawn, Jennifer, Sandra Bennett, even David. I guess now Mary Beth is the mix as well.

Most of the time they end after that midnight TSV hour is done. However lately, sometimes they go on to a 2-hour show after the TSV, so they are still on air until 3AM. This has been happening for a while now. Just seems like host schedule shifting, to me.

People do go on vacations, or have family emergencies that take them away for awhile. I bet she's covering someone's spot, so they can tend to one of those. She's lovely, and I'd watch her whenever she was on, were I shopping.

She probably wants to keep her job. She used to never work Sundays, but now she occasionally does.

Yes, it's important for the TSV to get a good start, hence the top guns, i.e. experienced hosts, at midnight. If it gets a lackluster start, it's liable to be a bust.

But seriously, maybe they want a good TSV video for the website, and they have a better chance of that with an experienced host at the helm.

This question was important enough to you to ask and I appreciate that. When I was working I was required to maintain a certain number of school hours each year to keep current with any changes to my job. I learned real quick not to wait to see if someone else would ask the question I was too shy to ask in a public setting.

I am going to guess that the host doing the TSV was picked by someone in a much higher up position than them and if they want to keep their job, they put a smile on their face and act like that is just what they are happy to do.

Among many other things, MBR is a team player. She does not expect anyone to do what she won’t do herself hence midnight and 6:00am shifts. People it’s not the Q it once was, it’s all hands on deck now!
