Loyal customers

So many here have been customers for decades and surely feel like part of a QVC family. Original hosts have a place in our hearts. Changes always can be counted on but we also hope the good things are cherished and continued. This part of the QVC family experience is going away for reasons not expressed and I can only feel customers lose but QVC loses more. There will be no loyal customers. We can just as easily click another website and receive better stuff for less money and faster shipping. We can even click to other channels and not be subjected to hours of the same speech about one product. A lot has been deleted at QVC over the years but deleting a family is very short sighted.

@Gabidog I so agree. I think once people, like me, cancel their accounts, auto-deliveries, etc. the burn will be felt by Q. Even if the forums re-open, this closing has left a bad taste for many.

For the first time in many, many years QVC is not playing in the background on my TV. During those years while my husband was still working, I was home alone and QVC was my companion. (I have been unable to go out alone for so long that it seems normal.) I never watch trying to find something in particular, but when an item is presented that I need or like, I order it. Hosts like Pat and Jayne are my "friends" that I enjoy seeing. Their voices break the monotony of being alone.

My last purchase on QVC was the Scott Brother's mattress for my guest room. I would never have bought a mattress in a box, but I made a post here and the replies convinced me to place the order. It mysteriously vanished and could not be found. I called customer service who could not find it, posted here about the missing order, was given the social team address, and they advised what I could do to avoid losing the TSV price. That sale which was substantial could have been lost without these forums.

So it is with a sad heart my TV screen is blank and the house is eerily quiet. I will continue to read and perhaps post until Nov. 2. At that time I will say goodby to real people whom I have come to know through this forum. I read your posts for a very long time before I had the courage to post myself. They filled a social void in my life for which I am very grateful. Thank you!

I know many have spoken about the Hallmark channel but it is new to me, discovering while watching the Golden Girls also new to me. Clearly not a big tv watcher in the past but I've kept the Hallmark channel on in the rare occasions I want a little noise in the house. No yelling, no screaming it is nice and low key. Commercials dont seem bad either.

You know maybe this is a good thing. I get frustrated with these boards with posts getting deleted. Like Saturday morning. We had no Mods here. There was someone going nuts with nasty posts. I sent them a alert like others did. I sent an email to the Social Team and never got a response. I was only trying to help and my post got deleted as Baiting????

We will have more freedom of speech on the other boards. So maybe it is a good thing for us.

@Bhvbum I did go there. I felt overwhelmed by the process. I just didn't feel comfortable when I read the terms and conditions. I think I am an old dog who is troubled by new tricks. I wish you all the best in recreating what we have here.

@On It - you can try the HSN forums. Easy as QVC. You can go to HSN site and towards the upper left hand of the page you will see "Connect" and then you would click on "Community". You will need to create a username and password but very similar to QVC forums.
