We don't know what they did behind the scenes, but judging how Lisa shut down almost all talk of her leaving from callers and venders in her last couple of months, my bet is that she didn't want any more done on air than we saw.

Lisa was clearly struggling to hold it together during her last show, and may have asked that not much be done during her shows simply because it would be more emotional than she was comfortable getting on air.

Thank you for sharing this info. It makes sense to want a change after 25 years, and I'm sure she would be welcomed back if she wanted that.
