I am noticing less of the usual hugging and kissing when the vendors come on. Just noticed today, guess it is a good idea under our current circumstances.

I suspect that has more to do with 2 different flu strains currently going around the US, than coronavirus.

I've seen no noticable decrease.  It's a habit they need to break, for sure.

Re: Less hugging and kissing

I heard one or two of the hosts mention that they were "air kissing" because of all the viruses going round.

I agree, it needs to be stopped altogether.  I'm sure some of them are friends in real life, but they can do the personal greetings off air.

Re: Less hugging and kissing

I, for one, am now doing "virtual" handshakes, as well as "air" kisses.

It's not necessary, regardless of the health situation.

Oh, good heavens...the virus again.....LOL    All of our heads are going to explode over it.  Do people understand that this COVID 19 will be with us for many months, we're at the very beginning so seeing the bogey man in every single thing, regardless of how ridiculous it is, is just crazy.  I have no doubt  that hosts and vendors are hugging and kissing each other as much as they ever did.

Re: Less hugging and kissing

Virus or not they should discontinue all the kissing anyway.  So unprofessional and a waste of time.  David and Tara -- way too much.  Plus if a person brings three products on they have to kiss each time?   Good time to phase it out.  A pleasant "nice to see you" or "welcome to (name the show)" would be more appropriate.

Re: Less hugging and kissing

I've never understood why they hug and kiss when they see each other. I mean, when you work with someone, is it your normal to greet that person with a hug / kiss. I've always thought it's silly.
