I think the ring is quite lovely.

 

Kathy has very good taste and it is reflected in her designs.

 

Amethyst is not really an expensive gem stone, so it is a surprise that they are making Diamonique in this color.

 

If this ring were a real stone and in gold and diamonds, I would strongly consider it, but I do not really wear fashion jewelry at all. 

 

A while back I made myself buy a Judith Ripka gold and amethyst ring the Q had on sale.  It is too big for my hand, but it was a fabulous buy. 

 

 

P.S. Gems en Vogue (Michael V) sells a LOT of real gemstones set in silver at reasonable prices!

Way too gaudy for me but it reminds me to have my ameythst ring in 14k gold resized!!
