Do you mean a REAL size 8 or a Q size? Q sizes are larger than regular retail.

This blog really saddened me. I have been a member a long time. I am in my 50’s and up to about two years ago, I had a great figure. Due to circumstances, I put on 20 pounds and I am a lady built like JT. At 5’3 hour glass figure ( with hips), I bought this dress in black. Yes, stripes are not our best friend, but I guarantee you, it looks fine in person. Camera’s add weight and i am a size 8 in pants. We are short and clothes are hard to buy for us. Ironically, petite is too short for me. Please be kind. Life is hard on us all. I would hope no one talks about me this way or you. God bless!

I think Jane looked cute. So tired of people trashing her on this forum - -geez!  Also, some of these people who have been on this forum a long time are quick to cut you down if you are new to it. Fact is I just discovered the forum not long ago, but have been a QVC customer for many years.

Well dang I thought Jane looked cute, except for the hat, it was so large, but thats the point in keeping the sun off.

I would undoubtably get ripped apart on these threads if posters saw some of my outfits.  But I wear what I like now and when I was young.  I never really cared what anyone else thought about my attire.

@Roscoe the Rascal.  Yes..I have seen them on women who for religious reasons cover their legs as well as other parts of the body who want to enjoy a Water Park or Lazy River.

I hope Lands' End can move on to a better presentation by a host.  Really enjoyed the Lands' End Representative.  One can always just go to their website and catalog- usually a sale and a wonderful company to order from.

@Andy11  She does not have an hourglass figure, which is proportional........more like a pear, not proportional = hard to dress. She needs to wear clothes that fit or she does herself no favors. IMHO, most women want to wear things that flatter their figure.

@Andy11   For some reason, it seems it is necessary for some folks to go way  overboard on repeated criticisms of Jane Treacy and--take your pick--other hosts du jour.  I happen to like and enjoy watching her.

I'm a 5 ft. 7.5 in. gal and am still very thin, and have been underweight my entire life.  I'm sure there are a few here that would make comments on my appearance as well.

Doesn't matter to me.  Got over getting hurt by the "mean girls"--and some guys--comments by the time I started college.  I dress for me and care not what others say/think unless I have requested their advice/opinion.

One thing is certain:  the hosts command excellent pay and some great perks for their work so they actually  have the last laugh, knowing they can't be everything to everyone and popularity is often cyclical.

Don't let some of these repetitious negative commments get to you.

Most posters are usually great (and  anyone can have an off day and misspeak) but there are a handful that are fairly consistently negative to the nth degree, and anothher handful that have a dry sense of humor which doesn't always come across well in written form and without really knowing the person.

And, by the way, welcome to the boards!

Well I'll be dipped...!!!! (Remember this saying from the 60's Ladies?!?!) .... My first thought on seeing Jane in this outfit was... "Now that looks cute on you Jane!!" It fit her! She said it was a size medium because she would wear it over a bathing suit...that her normal size is Small !!! No Jane! You should wear a medium ALL the time! She wasn't pulling on it like she does when she wears a small...and, to me, it skimmed over her body. Yes. It's hard to wear stripes... I found that out the hard way... but I really did like this long dress/lounger/cover up on her...and I have a 55" TV!!! At least it was the correct size on her!!

Why would anyone buy Lands End on QVC when you can get 40% off when you get their catalogs?  I don't get it...
