Spurt, another outstanding preview! I agree with Lipstick Diva about having time to catch up on my backlog of magazines - that and power naps!

So the royal 'we' will be fully in evidence this weekend, as West Chester hosts her majesty, our Queen of Hearts, the Polyester Princess and Prince Soapless Wonder... Add to ALL THIS joy the remainder of the stellar line-up, and well, moms has outdone herself. This is an utter holiday stinkfest... Oh my yes, this is one great big huge... NEXT!!!!!

On the other hand, while there's nothing I'll want to view on Q... this little darling could get me to visit the pumpkin patch... And I have JUST the right outfit!

She is a cutie isn't she....she could certainly sell me a pumpkin! Kiss And I bet you followed JRT's suggestions on that purrfect pumpkin pickin outfit didn't you....{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

BTW in LR's show did you see that color block outfit on Jacque that Lisa was practically forcing her to buy---Jacque looked like a stuffed sausage---LR needs to think about mass marketing and sizing for all body shapes.......it's just like this legging trend that QVC is on....seeing some women in leggings in downright frightening!!!! I notice the REAL designers like Linea, George Simonton, and Bob Mackie say in the design process they try the style on models of varying body shapes/sizes to make sure the garment looks good on all sizes....the que here is REAL designers! {#emotions_dlg.glare}

I really enjoy your "take" on the Q's weekend shows, SPURT, with nods to the vendors! I especially had to laugh at the cats in wigs, so funny! Thank you once again for bringing smiles to so many.{#emotions_dlg.laugh}

SPURT, you ARE the best! I so enjoy your weekend summaries. And the Star Trek comparison is priceless! Thank you.

Hi mewsmomtoo---

I have to admit I saw that Star Trek photo in another thread and even on another website devoted to Shopping Channel snarkiness....I just couldn't resist sharing it because it's just so PERFECT!!!! {#emotions_dlg.lol}

Adorable, the kitty that is... And to be sure, my not so little boy is just the sweetest thing... My mother and I were reminiscing just last evening about all our many cats, and remembering fondly the personalities of each...

Be advised, I'm going to try to consolidate three threads worth of responses into this one... It'll save us all this bouncing about!

{#emotions_dlg.ohmy}

I have to say, even Lisa's show is of no real interest to me these days. I think her 'designs' have largely jumped the shark into just plain bad taste... I, for one, am not remotely interested in a wardrobe comprised of bad color blocking and fake leather, fake suede or fake hair calf... And, all this on the heels of that ludicrous, laughable and all-around dreadful Missus-a-Wiggins skirt... I generally will watch her show, but last night found I was up and milling about doing other things about half way through. There wasn't a single thing featured on that show that I'd have wanted and that awful, but pricey, over-sized gemstone bracelet from Her Majesty looked like something someone would pick up at a dime store to wear for Halloween... Straight from 'couture' or not, they can have it! Simply put, QVC just offers very, very little of interest these days and certainly, Her Majesty and the Crown Prince duking... it out today for top dog status is SO not on my to do list...

{#emotions_dlg.scared}

Haven't yet been back to HG to check it out but was in the Maxx last night and found it sadly lacking in harvest decor... Actually, there were huge expanses of the store just completely vacant and when I inquired I was told they're soon to be revamping for the fall/winter/holiday season... I might head over to another Maxx/HG this weekend that's close by and see what they have to offer. Though I don't need anything it's still fun to look and certainly an improvement over moms' dumpster-diving programming...

{#emotions_dlg.sleep}

Weather-wise, I haven't yet been out... Yesterday and Thursday were quite nice, if hot, but breezy and not humid. We've actually had open windows again for a spell, but I got up early today and closed up shop, turning on the A/C as I do feel that blessed dampness in the air... Not much sun today either, so far just mostly very dreary with but a peak of sun here and there, and with the prognosticators... such as they are... predicting relatively unpleasant summer weather for the week... Lovely... Just as fall should be coming in, summer decides to make a most unwelcome comeback...

Sounds as though you were quite busy and productive yesterday, and meanwhile, I have been an utter slug! I might get a few things done today around the house, but as the old saying goes, my get up and go seems to have got up and went, so we'll see... Luckily, there are two more days off this weekend, so I'm hopeful to make at least one of them productive, and yes, to get my fall stuff out and up! I took yesterday off, but went to lunch with my mother, then to Pier One and the Maxx... Pier One does have such lovely things, but I have always thought they tended to be over-priced for what they are... Still, worth a trip, if you have one locally, just to see their "Harvest Tree", though I'm not sure all stores have one.

Two thoughts about your Aborignials... First, should you run into The Third (and yes, about the H...) in Hot, Humid, Houston (Oy, talk about someplace to which I hope never again to venture...) PLEASE do NOT give him a piece of your mind... It might actually improve his performance and that is SO not what we want... Because what we want is Sweet Kirk front and center... That said, I recently learned that Mon Capitan was married in June... So I suppose any plans I might have had to run into him 'by accident' just flew right out the window... Now, there is something essentially exceedingly unfair going on here... I do like an athletic, attractive man and first Tommy and now THIS!

{#emotions_dlg.mad}

Sorry to hear about your recent sortie to the utterly dysfunctional grocery store... Sadly, such has become the norm... Functionality across the board has taken a serous nose dive and yes, it is oddly comparable to the Q's latest, recent and ongoing website debacle(s)... I guess I'll have to go to the market today, and as you can imagine, I so dread it... But if I don't go today then I'll have to go tomorrow and let's just say that trying to shop a supermarket on Sunday is like looking for a needle in a haystack, as restocking shelves is apparently no longer a priority, and hence like shopping in a war zone plopped down in the middle of a third world country... Ahhhhhhhh progress... And to coin a phrase from yet another highly apropos old song, 'don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got till it's gone'...

Spurt ..... you never disappoint!! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

I agree!!

Hi Calmin Thanks and have a great weekend!

Hi Spurt! It's been 4 weeks since my knee replacement. Even being at home all the time hasn't increased my Q-watching. I watched some of the gold day but that's it.

Here are a few of my favorite words to describe Q's programming.....dullsville, stodgy tedious, repetitive, unimaginative, stale, dreary, humdrum, mind-numbing, and just plain boring.
