@SilleeMee  But she comes across as not wanting to be on QVC. She appears to be bored and sometimes even nasty. Why does she have the need to show the bad side of her personality or is this her true self?

@Janey2

Not sure if she's always been that way but maybe her attitude now has something to do with what's been going on with Qvc as a company and the bankruptcy thing. Maybe she feels bad about the failure of things beyond her control and that may create negative feelings. Who knows for sure.

In Martha's defense, she's no spring chicken like most of the other guests on QVC.  Terri even had to steady Martha at the end of the show as she was attempting to stand.  I ''feel her pain'', I just hope I can be as ''present and engaged'' at age 84 as Martha is.

In my opinion, it's not her age.  She always seemed aloof but smiled from time to time to cover it up.  My mother always said when people age they are the same as they always were "only more so".

@Janey2

I posted about the same thing a few days ago.  It's unfathomable to me that with all her vast wealth she would, at 84, subject herself to the apparent CHORE or appering on QVC at different hours on different days!

Martha started her career as a caterer in Westport, CT many years ago.  I lived in CT for over 25 years near her location (before I moved to Arizona).

I attended social events that she catered and she absolutely "WOWED THE CROWD."  Her professional talent and expertise were thoroughly unique and very impressive.  I bought all her books and subscribed to her magazine for years!  I gave a lot of parties (in those days) that used her ideas and techniques to produce lovely occasions.  My daughter still uses a number of Martha's recipes and tips in her entertaining.

Not to generalize, but TO ME, I found that the general tone and attitudes of many in her social circle (from all backgrounds) to be similar to what Martha displays.  There was a certain "aloofness" that I felt wasn't compatible with my personality, (among other reasons I left) so I moved to Arizona where the social climate is entirely different and more friendly,IMO.

Many of us know the story of Martha's divorce (again, MANY years ago) and the residual effect it had on her (it was widely reported in those days) was quite severe.

Then, of course, it was the criminal trouble she found herself in that she handled like a "champ"(in my opinion).

Martha will always be Martha and that's fine, but at her age and level of fame and wealth she should be more respectful of options that are available to her that might suit her better than "sleepwalking through" a QVC program hawking some goods that are quite mundane.

The whole Snoop and Martha act is just that: an act. It gets attention and makes money. I find it fake on both of them.

Really?  I would never have thought that.  They seem like they are indeed good friends.

You can call her anything you want and so can I.  She was in prison botton line for being dishonest.  You want to buy her over priced products that is your provocative. Some people think she is a very important person. I don't and that is my opinion which I am entitled to.

I just went back to look at some of the presentations she did with Terri, and that was painful.  It was like pulling teeth to answer the questions Terri was asking her.  She should have just done the show herselft.

I wonder why she has the need to sell on QVC. Anyone have any ideas?

@Janey2for the money, and the older women target demo. I'm in that demo but the majority of her clothes are not my style. Her sneakers are great though. Very well made.
