@AuntG I thought she was a good host.  But I did find her kind of snarky at times.  She also said, "ummmmmmm," quite a bit, that I found annoying.  That being said, it is not an easy job and I certainly could not do it.

@Kitty Galore Yes she has a step daughter.  I have seen numerous posts from Jill where she just refers to her as her "daughter."  Were I the actual mother, that would really bug me.  It does not matter if the actual mother is alive or not, and I had not heard that she has passed.  The daughter will always be a step child and out of respect for the mother, should be addressed that way.

@Puppy Lips @yes I agree , absolutely.   Especially if her natural mom is still around I can't imagine how she feels about that no matter the circumstances behind it .   Of course we dont know the whole story behind her dad having custody .  Even though her claiming her as her "daughter " is just not  right .  She is her stepdaughter,  step being the operative word.

I agree with you...she used to say "bonus daughter" years ago, but I haven't followed her post-QVC, so I guess she has since dropped the word "bonus."

She said the reason she called her "bonus" daughter was because the name stepdaughter had negative connotations.

Maybe the daughter asked Jill to just refer to her as her "daughter", she is old enough to speak for herself. Or, maybe the mother is okay with Jill calling the person her "daughter" or maybe Mom is not really in the picture. Family relationships do not always have to be negative and people seem to jump to conclude what others should be doing without being a part of the situation.

Maybe they all get along, that would be great! Sounds like the young woman is very fortunate to have a bonus mom/mom or whatever she calls, Jill. I don't follow Jill, or know her life story and think it is kind of silly to pontificate what she is supposed to refer to her family member as.
