Re: Jennifer Coffey retiring as QVC host. Is her bestie Kerstin next?

@Tori3569 I forgot they were related! 🤗

But it really is Melissa Epps Wilding she’s Best friends with.

They see the writing on the wall:

Sales are down, Hosts getting fired, Company re-org, Aging viewer population, etc.

There is nothing Q offers anymore that I can't get elsewhere cheaper. Lord knows I don't need a closet full of barefoot dreams merch down here in Florida.

As for the hosts, the smart savvy ones are realizing they can work social media platforms and make more money plus have more control over their careers. It offers them flexibility to work from home, work less hours, and choose which speaking engagements to do. They will be succesful because of their ability to adapt to the changing times. The current format of the Q is going to be a thing of the past and these 2 hosts are well aware of what's coming down the pipeline.

@christikate  I'm having a hard time visualizing the changes coming down the pipeline as you say. Can you give some examples of what you think some of them may be? Or how the format may shape up to be?

I watch many podcasts, but not ones through QVC...

I find it great, that the hosts are making the career moves for a change, instead of being fired. Kudos for them,, Although she wasn't my favorite, LR played her cards well.  She hung in there and then it didn't matter if she wasn't renewed, she make her way right where she needed to be, to be on her way upward,

She purchased her house, made a decent living, for some time, traveled all over and now has made quite a profit in selling her home and now settles in warmth of the islands,,,

She did it all, on her own.. I must give her a well done,,,

While I'm here......No matter what has been said, I don't believe that sales are down.

Keep in mind that I don't know anything about corporate finances (or whatever).

It just seems to me that lots of items sell very well.

Now that I'm thinking about it, just maybe that many, many (perhaps thousands)  other items that we don't see on air aren't selling, and they are stating that category as a decrease in sales.

But, as far as popular on-air items and brands, most sell very well, imo.

Maybe they need to omit the other items sitting in a warehouse that are available online.

That would reduce the unecessary waste of space (so to speak).

Well, that's about all I have to say.

Getting back to the subject:  Wishing all retiring/retired hosts and all hosts the very best.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

Antionella Nester, Carolyn Gracie & Dan Hughes were all let go. Profits have been consistently down since the fire in the Rocky Mount warehouse in Dec 2021.

First quarter sales in 2024 were down 11%. If you google QVC Qurate sales there are many sites that provide breakdown of loss by quarter.

@RescueLover     NO, its Melissa Epps Fleming, the Keurig rep, NOT Melissa Epps Wilding who Kerstin is besties with, besides one of her QVC besties Jennifer who Kerstin has mentioned many times of, as one of her "besties"

Who cares if Kerstin retires.

Whether they, or any other host, leaves or stays I could care less.  Though some are easier to watch than others, to me they are just sales people and I have no interest in their lives or pursuits.

Seriously @wagirl   no one really cares that either/or/both are leaving. Talking your life and voice away for as long as hosts do here, it does get boring, annoying, lifeless. And there are already a bunch of newbies on board so move over rover, let them take over.

@PINKdogWOOD --I do wish these folks well but just don't see the need to mourn that they are leaving---it's a job and there are more to take over---I never considered any host part of my family and never have been overly interested in their comings and goings.
