Jennifer Coffey retiring as QVC host. Is her bestie Kerstin next?

Happy Dec 1st QVC QTalk Forum,

I am wishing you and your families a December To Remember (sorry Lexus for stealing your slogan) Now, Jennifer just hung up the microphone, but technically has 1 more month left and leaves after New Year's Eve. Is Jen's bestie and fellow 2011 Classmate Kerstin, next? I ask this simply because Kerstin just announced on her social media that she has a Podcast coming out and then dropped a hint of her 3rd book being relesaed in 2026 by Harper Collins of all publishers, WOW!

I am fans of both Jen & Kerstin as QVC hosts, but I know its a 50/50 split among other members online. They both seem to be twinning with their new ventures outside of QVC, such as travel guides and speaking engagements. I will bet dollars to donuts that Jen will soon have a podcast, too, LOL! Jen should consider a "Zen with Jen" youtube series, as that was a hit on QVC plus before the massive layoffs that too many in video production teams with them.

I can't imagine what Kerstin's 3rd novel can be about, but all i can think of is it pertaining to the health route, which would be piggybacking off her upcoming podcast, STrest. Jen & Kerstin are both excellent hosts, IMHO, but maybe they see an avenue bringing their QVC fans to follow them, like a Tony Robbins cult like following.

Shawn Killinger is EXCELLENT in the podcast arena and I am NOT a fan of her's as a QVC host, but keeping it real without any bias. I believe podcasting is what she should be doing. Kerstin & Jen as travel guides, podcasters, and authors somehow doesn't seem right, but Shawn already shocked me, so it will be interesting to see how they fare, but good for them.

I will be on record here and I believe Kerstin announces her retirement from QVC hosting about a yr from now and as Jen finishes up here on New Year's Eve 2024, Kerstin will be by New Year's Eve 2025.

I certainly wish Jennifer and Kerstin the very best in life, as they are both lovely, bright, energetic, and motivated ladies who seem to be excited about exploring various entrepreneurial opportunities.

By the way, I have never listened to a podcast in my life, and I doubt I ever will, as there are too many other interesting things to do in the world.

I came to QVC to shop, but since I already have more than I need, I am spending more money on experiences these days!

It is a good idea to have back up things in life in case something goes sour.

Never been a fan of these two but I do admire their ambition and wish them well.

Many of these hosts have have lots more going for them than just selling merchandise on the Q.

Sometimes I wished I would have had  more opportunities in my life than I did.  Not sure what I would have done but would have been nice to have some talents  rather than none.

They see the writing on the wall:

Sales are down, Hosts getting fired, Company re-org, Aging viewer population, etc.

There is nothing Q offers anymore that I can't get elsewhere cheaper. Lord knows I don't need a closet full of barefoot dreams merch down here in Florida.

As for the hosts, the smart savvy ones are realizing they can work social media platforms and make more money plus have more control over their careers. It offers them flexibility to work from home, work less hours, and choose which speaking engagements to do. They will be succesful because of their ability to adapt to the changing times. The current format of the Q is going to be a thing of the past and these 2 hosts are well aware of what's coming down the pipeline.

I don't watch either of them , but wish them well.  Kerstin is too full of herself for me.

I have to work 50 years total to retire. Those two are not my "type". They have nothing over my life to say in a podcast. I'm glad they are leaving.I like them least.

Well----not a thing for me---they are going on with their lives and really don't understand the hoopla with all that. Whatever!!!

@FancyPhillyshopper   I highly recommend giving Shawn's a listen and I am NOT a fan of hers as a QVC host, but she does a 180 as a podcast host. I'd start with her and Rick Domeir's episode, if you ever find some free time to care to do so. Thanks for chiming in and Seasons Greetings & Happy Dec 1st!

Jen and Kerstin making smart moves. Both have huge followings, can make money elsewhere. Shopping channels/ Cable is dying. Q already is streaming on Hulu and Tik Tok, Q will be streaming only  in the not so distant future.

I've never before heard Jen and Kirstin described as "besties", competitors maybe.  Just yesterday Kirstin was talking about her best friend and it was someone whose name I've never heard before.   I know at one time Kirsten was very chummy with Rachel Boesing.

I wouldn't miss either Jen or Kirsten but wish them both a bon voyage on their trips with their careers.
