@LindaSal I think there comes a point when "happy" is too over the top, hyper, and forced. She crosses that line for me, and maybe others too.

Seniority, performance, and experience count. How would you feel if someone new started at your employer's and took your hours or job and thrust you to the side? New hosts need to earn their way to prime time and better shows.
I don't understand how you can earn your way to prime time when you're stuck selling in the middle of the night when most buyers are asleep.
I tend to think that the newbies who are more adept at shmoozing management than others, are the ones who get to prime time and better shows. The rest just stay on graveyard or are let go. @CalminHeart

@Puppy Lips: You stole my thunder!
I was just about to post the same thing. I don't think it's a shame to have a different view. There's really no right or wrong way to feel about this subject. ![]()

The talking non stop, about everything but the product, leaves me no choice but to turn off QVC.She chatters so much about nothing, you almost forget what was the product, she is trying to sell!

Jane is overly talkative & her energy is "over the top". She must feel she needs to compete with the 2 older takative "over the top hosts", David & Rick or her time may be cut short @ QVC.

Working in the middle of the night is where newbies start. Most people don't start out as CEO. It's part of working your way to better shows and times. Things change all the time and it's changed before for successful newbies.
As in all big corporations, schmoozing is part of the game. I don't like that either and it rubbed me the wrong way because experienced and successful people were overlooked while a schmoozer got promoted. I worked for a Fortune 500 company for nearly 40 years and watched it happen all the time. I hated it too.

When she’s on “click” goes the remote.

I enjoy Jane very much. She has more energy than I’ve ever had, and an outlook on life that is a breath of fresh air.
What I like best is that Jane is true to herself. Have you seen her Instagram page? She and her family go to DisneyWorld and Disneyland several times a year, it looks like it’s almost every single month they are at DisneyWorld. The entire family! They wear matching outfits that are all things Disney, they still get very emotional at the evening fireworks (they must have seen them over a hundred times), they re-enact Disney scenes, etc. One of her daughters is a mentor for Disney Dreamers Academy to help teens with their life’s goals for the future. She helps them learn about interviewing, networking, and dressing for success.
I marvel at Jane’s ability to bring a powerhouse of energy and good vibes to every show. But what I really like is that it’s an extension of who she really is; it would be near impossible to make all that up.
