This is helpful if returning something we’ve purchased for ourselves. If we give a QVC gift, how does the receiver return/exchange it without the original packaging or paperwork?

are you giving it as a gift or sending it to them via qvc?

if you are sending it to them via qvc it will include paperwork.

if you are giving it to them in person, they will need to give it back to you to return or exchange OR you will need to give them the paperwork.

you dont really need to have the original packaging in order to return.

Actually the receiver can call CS to arrange for a gift return.  I've done it many times.

did you need the original order number? did you have to give them the original purchasers information?

yes, that is what i thought. you definitely need to contact the person who gave you the gift so that they can give you the information and/or the receipt.

If someone sent you a gift, you would most likely know their name and address or phone number.  That is all you need.

In short, if someone sends you a gift or gives you a gift in person, you just need to contact CS and arrange for a gift return.  They will need the purchasers name and zip code or name and phone number.  You definately don't need to contact the purchaser unless the order can't be located.

also note......

"If the recipient returns a gift and requests credits to their own account, the purchaser will not be notified of the return.  Keep in mind, however, that the purchaser may notice it if he/she checks online and also if any easy payments are discontinued.
