Fair enough @Biftu (no pun intended). However, I don't feel it's preferential treatment nor do I deem it as unfair offers. Again, these are offered to ALL so not unfair in my eyes.

As far as being tracked, you are tracked via internet, cell phone, smart tv's. I get ads on my smart tv when I have searched it on my laptop. I was looking at MZ Wallace website, later that day bam there it was on my tv. You don't need an app to get tracked.

@Biftu I almost posted the same thing. I don't want to be tracked...as you said...not fair to non-app users. Their loss. 🤷🏻‍♀️
Hate to inform you ....we are already being tracked everywhere and by everything!
You don't need to use an App to be tracked.
Every email you send, every google search, every click you make online is being used for info.

I don't have a smartphone so no "apps" for me! The retailer can do as it pleases and the shopper can also. I so seldom buy here that all their "incentives" to buy don't matter to me.

@Biftu It is retail. You have the choice not to buy, and buy elsewhere. I don't know how you make anything like that fair. Life isn't fair, so be happy and do the best you can for you and forget about. Things like that happen all the time.
It isn't a right, it's just retail.
@Sooner You make it fair by offering the savings to all customers not just those willing to use their app. I get that I don't need to buy, just question the fairness whether life is fair or not.
@Biftu I don't think that falls under "fair." It's just a promotion from a retail outlet. We aren't entitled to a promotion aimed at us specifically, so my answer is fair doesn't apply in situations like that. We aren't entitled to all promotions applying to us.
I think companies press their apps because they are more stable and easier to maintain. There have been times I have not been able to sign onto main QVC site, but have been able to sign onto the QVC app. That made me wonder if that's the reason they steer people to their app, The regular site is so glitchy and requires constant maintenance..
Actually, I think they do it because that's how the younger generations shop.
I don't like it and refuse to shop (or do banking) on my phone. I don't keep credit cards in my "wallet" either. I really don't see giving a discount for using their app as any different than giving a discount for using their credit card. I don't have that either. i may feel left out or underappreciated as a customer, but I don't consider it unfair.
Seems to me like anytime I do try to use an app for something important, it messes up or I find it confusing, and then I choose a wrong option and get frustrated.

A lot of places offer deals if you use the app. I use apps all the time and get great deals. I guess it's a case of if you don't want to use the app then you don't get the deal. It's not that hard. I do spark delivery for Walmart when I want to pick up extra money and they require you to have your location turned on at all times. I don't even think twice about it.
everyone is so worried about being tracked. What about Flock cameras? They're everywhere now and they feed right into a federal database.

It doesn't bother me at all. Many things in life are not fair, so I do me and not worry about what others are getting. I use apps all of the time, so using that one is not a problem.

This is why I eventually want to buy an Apple 5G phone which millions use each day for shopping and banking. Could so many be wrong? Now, unfortunately the other side of that argument is millions also use the Samsung or some other Android 5G phone for the same purpose. Who do you trust with your personal info? On my dinky 4G Android I cannot download the latest apps as they are not compatible. On my laptop I use an Ethernet cord...and have no experience purchasing or doing banking without it.

Everyone has the ability and option to use the app.
If you decide not to, that's your decision. You decided to not use the app; QVC had no part in that decision. It's no different than perks and benefits only for a store cardholder. If I decide to not have a store branded card, I acknowledge that I forgo certain benefits. Personally, I like "app only" promotions and offers.
That is not true. I do not own a smart phone or tablet so I have no way to use an app. Owning a smart phone is not an option for me. Long story.

Retailers save money by having apps to sell their goods. Makes business sense to use apps for many reasons.
Why are mobile apps a big deal for retailers?
Mobile apps are a major deal for retailers because they drive significantly higher revenue and engagement by creating a direct, personalized, and friction-free shopping experience. They foster customer loyalty, offer personalized marketing through push notifications, and allow for direct data collection, leading to increased order values and lower marketing costs.
