This past weekend I got sucked back into ordering two items from QVC during free shipping day. At the very same time, I ordered from four other online retailers, one that everyone knows, one a large department store, one a pet store, and one a small retailer. All of my orders have already been received, even if mailed USPS. Meanwhile, one of my QVC items is supposed to arrive next week (at least 10 days after ordered) and another is still ‘in process’. Thanks QVC for reminding me that you talk the talk but don’t walk the walk. There are so many better options out there in terms of price, quality, and definitely service. You wont keep Tik Tok customers for long either.

@tynabean

It's always good to shop around and price compare.

QVC has never been known for their fast shipping.

Re: Interesting Comparison

[ Edited ]

@tynabean - So, just so we're comparing apples to apples:  did you get free shipping with your other four retailers?

Were all the orders coming from the same location?  Same approximate size and weight (because that can affect shipping choices)?

Both of my orders on the 18th have shipped.  I don't consider that unreasonable.  JMHO.

I seldom bother to compare shipping differences.  If a retailer has what I want at a price acceptable to me, l'll order it.

On the flip side, I ordered a cell phone case from Amazon on March 31st.  It hadn't even shipped by mid-April and estimated delivery was April 30th.  I canceled it,

Just out of curiousity @Venezia , what was the original delivery date listed when you placed your order on Amazon?  I always look at that date first and don't order if it's going to be longer than I want to wait.  Did the delivery date change after you had placed the order? I wouldn't be happy about that.  And lastly, was your delivery coming from Amazon or from an independent vendor?

How is it you got "sucked in."  Are you so weak that you can't control your shopping habits/choices???  So now you are blaming QVC for what?

I find other places I order from arrive quicker than QVC orders. If I am ordering a gift from QVC I make sure I order it several weeks in advance so I know it will arrive in time. Things that are not a gift I don't worry about the timing. I also figure a free shipping day will take longer because it will be a busier order day.

The only time I have had amazon orders take a long time is when it is coming from a third party and I am notified when I place the order the approximate arrival time. I have had to wait weeks for an order but I knew up front it would take that long.

The orders I made on free shipping day have already arrived at my home.  It was fast shipping.  However, there is nothing I order from the Q that I must have immediately.

@shoesnbags -  It was a Prime order.  When I clicked on it, I got the "order in the next 2 hours" type message.  Afterwards, it changed to estimated delivery April 18 and I thought whatever.

But when it still hadn't shipped and it changed to the 30th, that was enough.  I didn't need it that badly.

Not the first time in recent months that shipping from Amazon has been inconsistent.  I'm just saying no retailer is immune to current conditions.

@Venezia Thanks for the reply.  I know that message you're talking about and so far it's always worked out well for me (whew). So was it shipped from Amazon or from the vendor?  I'm always less confident in an item shipped by a third party vendor.

@shoesnbags -  No idea.  It just said Prime.  No mention of a third-party vendor.
