The Plan has been confirmed (July 15th) and reconfirmed as of yesterday. 

Next is the Effective Date, which I believe is August 17th (or slightly before.)

By then, the mechanics of New Debt issuance and New Equity issuance, placing those securities into the holders accounts will have taken place.

Most importantly,  on the Effective Date the current Board of Directors will immediately resign and New Equity will appoint New Directors. 

What happens with Reorganized QVC after that is anyone's guess at this point!

A bright spot amidst such great uncertainty for QVC.

"QVC intends to pour newfound flexibility into TikTok Shop and its QVC and HSN streaming platforms.  The company says its TikTok programming has already paid off, helping expand its U.S. customer file for the first time in more than four years."

This is what many of us have anticipated for some time.  Resources increasingly devoted to new media outlets at the expense of the traditional broadcast model.

I imagine this is what new investors who have engaged millions and millions also see.  Many employees must be extremely anxious at this crucial inflection point.

I wonder how the end of tv broadcasting will happen.  Will they have a countdown clock -- enjoy us for the next 2 weeks because after that, the screen will go dark and you will need to grab your phone or tablet to find us.

My thoughts are  perhaps initially reduced live broadcast hours (eliminate 1-3 am for example), similar to what occurred years ago, and possibly go dark on several days a week.  

A long, slow exit from television.   I imagine that ability to shop the website and app will remain, regardless.

I have stopped purchasing from QVC. I do not need to purchase as much I once did

I pray that people who are employed by QVC do not loose their jobs. 

I have many items and memories from QVC.

So many people have lost their jobs in the USA and are struggling. Nothing wrong with having purchasing power .

I will miss them if they disappear from television entirely.  Nothing against TikTok I just don't have an account (don't know if you need an account LOL.  Old dog-new tricks type of thing. Again, for now nothing against influencers.

I could see myself purchasing from YouTube since I do see their ads popping in all the time.

Your post on their Slow exit from television made me think about a dream I recently had where


Rick Domeier came out Solo and made the announcement that QVC will be permanently going off air. 😩



It felt so real that unlike most dreams I’ve had, I remembered it when I woke up. 😔

I would be happy to just shop Denim and Co. and Susan Graver online.  I don't need hosts telling me where to wear my clothes.  I don't need to see models adjusting their tops and turning around.

And I certainly don't need to see dancing, singing, and family time stories.
