I don't understand why it fluctuates between a $5.00 and a $40.00 credit to apply for a Q card? BTW I've had one for years. Love it.

@pattypeepI would think they do that for the same reason I get a 20% offer one day from CVS, a 40% on one item the next week, and even a 30% offer once in a while. I try not to pay full price for anything there except my scripts. Same as shopping BBB - always with a coupon.
Companies try all kinds of things to get us to shop - that's their job.
Spending my money is my job - I ignore a huge percentage of all the offers. I no longer need to shop as much as I did for a while.

I thought it was a $5.00 credit for brand new customers to the Q but a $40.00 credit for new Q card applicants.

The fine print didn't impress me. If I get a card today, I have to purchase something. However the credit is given in 6 to 8 weeks. The kicker is that I only have until April 30 to use the credit. Why they don't just give a person $40 off their first Qcard purchase is beyond me. I suppose they hope people will forget the April deadline.

And why don't they offer anything else to people besides extra easy pays? Why can't I get special offers for $ off if I've had a card? HSN has special offers to card holders every once in awhile. Seems like they should reward people who are loyal customers.
