I've seen it all

[ Edited ]

Everytime I think I have seen it all on qvc something comes on and makes me get closer to the screen because I think my eyes are deceiving me.

Yesterday I saw the end of a presentation for a Homeworx candle that was on sale for $169.98, down from $210. Yes, it was 120 oz. but I couldn't imagine ever spending that much money for a candle for myself or a gift.  Maybe I never looked for a candle that big.I wonder how many were sold?  It did come in a nice box, lol.

Shawn probably bought several for her candle closet.  Yesterday she said she bought several of the TSVs.  Maybe QVC doesn't even need customers.  It seems like their hosts buy a lot--especially Shawn and Jane.

I thought I heard Shawn say several times she bought 6 of those candles! Maybe hosts get a big discount...

I remember reading all Q employees get a 30% discount.

Almost everything on QVC is more or less affordable, especially with easy pay, or QVC financing.

QVC makes a profit on volume, and by paying less for their vendor products when they purchase such large numbers.

Vendors like Vault Treasures overprice their items so that they can produce a nice cushion profit for the representative.

I hope to never "see it all"--every year I look forward to the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book Fantasy Gifts, which are always the most outrageous, expensive and creative gifts one could ever consider.

I have many Homeworx candles and I am pleased with them all.  If you want a very big one, then go ahead and splurge! (It might work great for a big outside late night gathering.)

i would spend $170 on a huge candle long before i'd spend $170 on some miracle wrinkle stuff.

I wonder who would even want one.  I thought I heard it has 120 hour of burn time.  That doesn't seem much for a candle that size. I'm not a user of candles (other than battery operated), so I might be wrong about that.

I have purchased several holiday ones but just to look at.  I don't burn them because I have a parrot.  I've never spent even $100 though.  I love the haunted houses and pumpkins.

But that's because you probably would never be in the market for a 120 oz candle.  Everything can be made, and has a price.  That Homeworx candle had a good price, but I would never want a huge candle like that.

Here's a best seller from Pottery Barn, and it's only 77 ozs.  It's 189.

Neiman Marcus has one, 106 ozs., for $660.
