I got a late notice for a bill I'd already paid.

I always schedule payments in advance and I scheduled my Nov. 5 payment on Oct. 15 and got an email receipt that it was scheduled. Today I got an email saying my payment was overdue.

 

I had to use the VERY frustrating "live chat" and the operator checked and found I HAD scheduled my payment. She said it would go through within the next 24-48 hours and I wouldn't get a late fee. Isn't that big of them?

 

What is wrong with your payment system, QVC?

Why are you paying on QVC? The card is with Synchrony Bank. Set up an account with them so you can pay it there.

So does this show late on your credit history? I would be ticked if it did.

You kinda left out some important details....It isn't QVC's payment system.

 

Are you refering to the Q card?  That is Synchrony Bank.  Q CS wouldn't be able to help you, I wouldn't think.  

 

Who did you 'chat' with?

 

If you had a confirmation email, it would have been generated by Synchrony....Synchrony would be able to fix that.  I have found their CS very helpful the few times I had to call them.

 

If you used a credit card....it would be up to them.

You only got an email saying your payment was scheduled, not that it had been processed.  Big difference.  Was the payment taken out of your bank account?

Are you talking about the Q credit card thru Synchrony Bank?

I would not recommend using live chat for things like this, assuming you were actually contacting Synchrony and not QVC.  I'm not even sure if QVC reps would have access to Synchrony data and if I had to pick one, I'd say they don't.

@pebblebrook   I agree with @brandiwine. I'd pay what's owed directly to the card company. 

 

I don't have a Q card, so I won't pretend to know but I have several cards that are sponsored the same way QVC sponsors on Synchrony..  The phone number on all my sponsored cards is that of the credit card company, never the company from which I bought/ordered products.

As several posters pointed out, QVC, like so many companies, has outsourced their credit card operation to Synchrony.  You deal directly with them.

If you search through other threads over the last year, you will become aware of the problems encountered with the outsourced companies and how they do things.

 

I have had two major problems with Synchrony:  review all the charges and credits, esp. if a late fee is charged.  They may elect to not process your payment when received:  they make money on the fees imposed.

@pebblebrook, have you verified that the card you are using for payment hasn't expired or needs to be updated?

Long time ago I got a notice saying my easy pay was late.  It wasn't the credit card.  I just had to go and push it through again as to be paid.  

The card was paid for what was billed on time but this was a past due on an easy pay set up.   On the Q side.  I also had customer service help me with some of that and happened more than once.
