How to Retrive Past Threads/Posts

I think I remember somone saying when changes were made a few years ago older posts would not be available.  Are they saved somewhere?

 

Now when I look back most of mine are about shopping here or products.  I used to write with 2 groups and we discussed everything from surgery to realestate.  One friend has passed on and it would have been comforting to re-read those posts.
