answer someones post , by pulling their post in  to your reply , i have been on this forum and i never figured out how to do it.

Respond directly to their post hitting the reply to it.. Enter @. You'll see a drop down menu. Their name should be first. Click on it. That's how I do it.

 

Sorry, thought you wanted their name, not entire text.

Oddly enough, we joined the forum the exact same daySmiley Happy.  Before they completely changed the forum many years ago, I knew how to include the post I was responding to.  After they changed everything, I couldn't figure it out.  I also lost my original post count.  I've been lurking ever since.  I'm glad you asked and I'm glad I noticed.

That is funny about the date , if i remember correctly they screwed up the dates when they did updates , i am not sure that is my original posting dates.
