I am a big fan of Dooney bags and own several. I've purchased some new and some As Is here on the Q.
Last week, I ordered an As Is Dooney bag here. I checked it about two days later to see if it had shipped and it was on Backorder! Another few days passed and it is now finally processing.
How can an As Is product be on Backorder? I started a live Chat with a customer service rep to ask, but somehow the chat got "ended" before I got an answer and I haven't had time to ask again.
Anybody know the answer to this one?

@AussieLuvr I asked this once before also and the Mod explained. At first she didn't know but found out for me so please read the entire thread. The answer is here:

Thanks, Pearley. I now understand the electronic process thanks to your thread. I do thinkt it needs to be improved upon.
I have worked and trained in a supply chain business, and consistency is how you maintain a customer base.
That said, I've experienced new items ordered from the Q taking anywhere from two days to 2 weeks to get to me, and these are items that come to my door; not the ones that are turned over to the USPS.
I've also, on occasion, been unable to cancel an item I ordered 15 MINUTES after I ordered it because "it is too far into the shipping process"; and then it takes ten days to arrive.
I'm a frequent Q shopper but these inconsistnencies make me wonder if I shouldn't be expanding my shopping environment a little. ![]()

@AussieLuvr Many people have been complaining a lot about the rest of the issues you hope will improve. I say "don't hold your breath."

Well, if it is the Dooney Barlow in chestnut-my return is still sitting 10 minutes away from the original post office drop off after 11 days. It had HORRIBLE color striations on both sides. Have never experienced that with any of the brands of handbags I look at.

I ordered a top from Linea line. It was not "as is" but new. I received a email from QVC that it will shipped out by March the second. I never got it then and this went on for a few weeks until I got a email saying it was in back order. What? I quickly canceled the order, I was very disappointed but, I did not use a check but, a credit card this should not have happened.
