When a salesclerk/host takes attention away from the product being sold, it's a problem. Because QVC is a department store, where products are sold and not the sales clerk's career - yeah it's a huge problem.

I watch nothing with Shawn in it because I know it becomes about Shawn and not the product. I'm not watching QVC for the salesclerks/hosts I'm watching QVC for the PRODUCT. So the sales person should make themselves as invisible as possible and let the PRODUCT shine. Shawn does the opposite.

I agree100%. I was gonna watch but when Shawn showed up I changed the channel

@MUO I don't pay a lot of attention to who hosts what days but I know Shawn and Jane host most often in the evening. I am unlike @CalminHeart , @we rescue cats, @lgfan , @QVCTVSpree, @Northray @xryretriever, I hugely prefer Shawn over Jane. I miss Shawn's shows quite often because I just can't even watch JT for more than a few seconds so I rarely check in on QVC. However, I buy often when I do catch one of Shawn's shows. She sells to me.

I find this really bizarre. How is it that a host can talk you into buying something? I look at photos, measurements, weight etc and then decide to buy. Someone telling me to buy has nothing to do with my decsion. I buy on AZ a lot and no one is telling me to buy.

@cjm61 I am not a huge Shawn fan, but I too would rather watch her than JT. JT is so freaking annoying on so many levels. I know some love her, but I am the complete opposite.

Switched QVC on last night, and I'm telling ya...

Just 2 minutes into the presentation, JT starts in on a story about how she was a little girl and she was home sick, and a neighbor came over with some soup, blah, blah, blah...

I was like: Seriously??!!

I want to hear about the product, not about you.

Edited to Add: Yeah, I immediately changed the channel.

I do like Shawn but dont like her with celebrities. Im not sure what it is but its like she tries too hard to "compete" with the celebrity. Jennie Garth, Stacie London etc.
