@skatting44   You're so right, perfectly said!! I think some of these hosts def overdo the entertainment side of their on-air presentations and so viewers will sometimes unfortunately miss out on key parts and details of the products being presented, cuz of the antics of some hosts, especially when paired up with certain vendors/designers.

I think some of these hosts also kind of spillover their entertainment into their real lives/social media posts outside of the Q. Some of these hosts or vendors use to be hosts kinda come off like they think they are "mini celebs" now, while posting on their social. They are very FAR from being considered a mini-celeb.

While it definitely takes a certain skills set to be a successful host, I doubt that it's very demanding physically, especially compared to other occupations, as pointed out.

After a 2, 3 or 4 hour on-air shift (spent frequently on a couch), the hosts retreat to a dressing room with chairs, desks and other workplace comforts.

Not a bad gig if you're good at it.

I think it its.  It's a live show.  They have to think on their feet.  The worst thing to happen on live is dead air.  No sound.  They have to keep talking to cover it up.  It can't be awkward. A bad show will will drain you and depress you.  And you might not keep your show.  You have to sell something.

@CalminHeart  I watched Leah's show early this morning for a few minutes which was fine...then the next hour began and Leah had Doris Dalton on as a vendor. Doris began "speed talking" to a point where I had to shut it down.

I then briefly went over to HSN and had the same experience.  The vendor (very well known but her name escapes me) was pushing a smartwatch and, also, was chattering away SO FAST I quickly shut the TV down.

I do not care for DD at all. As soon as I hear that voice i turn the channel. I do the same when I hear JT and Susan Graver
