Just saying, if all the hoopla continues about two hosts being laid off, Qurate might revisit whether or not the forums are viable and discontinue this service.

If people want to chit chat they will have to go elsewhere.

Just saying....

@qbetzforreal I for one will be glad when this all dies down. There are so many more things to discuss than a couple of sales people being let go.

@qbetzforreal   After reading just a few responses today, I agree with you.  I will no longer make any further comments on this subject, even positive comments.  In fact I will no longer even comment on any msgs in the future in the forum. I just hope when I read comments tomorrow I will remember what I just wrote!

The forums are here for QVC customers to interact, share, and sometimes to vent. Sometimes we get frustrated and even angry and write a post that seems over the top to some. Even I told a poster once to calm down. But, this forum brings people to the website and many of us get great information and sometimes shop when we hear of a good buy from another poster.  I think QVC realizes that we are here expressing our surprise about people we like being let go. It's only been 2 days. It will be fine in a few days.  A corporate forum is beneficial to them.

Part of this problem is QVC tries to portray friendship or even family to the viewer.  "Girls night in" with wine.  The BFF hosts hanging out off air and posted all over the socials.  Hosts sharing their off air lives.  They sold the viewers the cozy, comfy we are family BS.  Then fire 2 hosts that acutally feel like family to the viewer.  The business/reality side took over and now we have consumer  backlash.

@Love my grandkids   They don't to me either, not at all.   But I totally agree with @Redsoxmom1 .  The point is that it's the very core of QVC's mission to make the viewer feel like friends & family.  They don't do it subtly, they drive it home in everything they do, each & every day.

No I did not ever buy into it, but many do, and have for decades.  I can understand their frustration now.  It's hard for a lot of viewers to separate the business reality of things.

@Caaareful Shopper Many of these people need a realitly check and realize these TV hosts aren't family or friends. Their job is to fake it so they sell. That's it.

I think you're right. I don't need comfy, cozy  wine sipping hosts to sell me. If I want it or need it, I'll order it, regardless of the bff hosts.

I understand that.  But, on the FB page there is an 85 year old that says she's been crying since Carolyn got fired.  Some that watch all the time use it for comfort and feel like family.
