Good Morning ladies..Anyone see Jill Bauer do her “Save a Life” segment piece this morning? Just watched it now. She’s always prepared + informative. Just like she was on Q. It just wasn’t the most exciting segment topic I’ve seen. Most of it was common sense already known.

I don't get it until 10:00 am in my time zone, but I'll probably catch it when it is on.  I do turn the TV over to them after Kelly & Ryan since i can't stand those hateful ladies that come after.  Hoda & Jenna mostly do upbeat shows.

@KKlim lol. Common sense isn’t as common as some of us who have lived a while think it is

Didn't see this one, usually catch her segments when she posts them later on her social media. I always liked Jill on Q, for the reasons you give, and she's still that way...prepared, professional, polished. But that said...I also find, so far, most of her online and on-air content to be "common sense already known" things.

She is just lucky to have had a built-in following from Q, and experience, resources and connections to Today, to have been given this opportunity to become their "expert" and an aspiring "influencer" online. And she's "likeable" on air..so I guess it's working for that show.

To me, she's kinda got a nice "passion project" now going, and she's comfortable enough financially to not have to live off it, while still pursuing it to the extent she can and have more quality time for her life. Good for her! I do find some of her website blogs, where she recommends products sometimes interesting...but haven't gone and bought anything either.

I think Jill is great and I follow her on Facebook.  But for personal reasons, I try not to watch anything at all on that network.

@amyb I agree with everything you said.  Like someone said on another thread, "She is no Martha Stewart."  I tried one of Jill's recipies and it was fine.  I did buy one decorative pumpkin item she showcased - I got three of them in fact to give two away.  But they were really cheap and I think one was broken so I sent them all back.  I have read some of her recent organizing projects and I find myself thinking, "Really? People have to be told to buy a basket for their dogs' toys?"  So again, while I think Jill is great, I have not seen any earth shattering ideas come from her and it all seems to be either common sense or ideas gathered from other sources.

I agree w/ everyone’s comments. Actually, I wouldn’t even seen the segment if for the fact I was home ftt try on work today and they mentioned she would be on Hoda show. Personally, no offense against anyone but Hoda and Jenna would not be my go to show if I was home. Lol. Jill definitely has maintained her presence on Hoda + Jenna because of who she knows + the avenues of getting there. As another poster mentioned, her ideas are simple, but not earth shattering creative. Jill’s sensible segments are consistently tips that I’m sure a handful of women can go on there + do. But they unfortunately don’t have the same avenues and people that Jill has. Have a good day ladies!🙂

I just watched the segment from today on her FB page...actually, today's segment I did learn things I didn't know. I don't have half those "safety/emergency" items in place.

I should get a few of those items. That LED lightbulb that stays on in an outage was interesting. I'm also in a 2nd floor condo, and it also has two floors inside..so that escape ladder is probably something for me to have on hand...have thought of that before, but never got one.

Jill looked great~mostly I wanted to know where she got that pretty pink blazer, and what brand it is. Smiley Happy
