Perhaps it was time to renew contracts and QVC decided to go in a younger direction.  I do recall Dan making statements about signing for another year during the beginning of the year.

I worked for a company for 36 years with a union. Had to be a very good reason to fire someone, it just didn't happen. Even people out sick for long periods of time no matter of age couldn't be let go. Not sure about a company like QVC where their employees have contracts that are subject to renewal. My opinion about Carolyn and Dan is each of them had serious health problems for a period of time. That could be why QVC would choose to terminate. Not due to age but health conditions.
