I really liked Leslie as a host on HSN, thought she did a great job. I didn't care for either Shannon. Jeez, lay offs everywhere! Tough week.

Oh wow- 3 HSN hosts! I wonder how they decide which hosts to let go? Shannon Fox and Leslie were not the oldest hosts or the newest hosts at the network. They often did TS presentations at midnight which must indicate they didn't have poor sales. Could it be that they approach them beforehand and offer a package? Maybe hosts who have a contract up and they don't want to renew them?

I wish no ill will to any of the hosts but my honest thought is Shannon Smith (hsn) had to go. We stopped watching when she was presenting. Dan (qvc) was likeable but maybe too low energy?

There are plenty of articles on all the research QVC, HSN and the rest do about host performance. One is how much they sell items in same time slots, same items etc.as others. Another is how popular they are on social media and another actual mail/email received on them. Like any job some workers are more willing to make changes, some are not and that is taken into account. And I think we all know appearance is big part of it all when TV is involved and keeping an audience.

There is some information David (qvc) resisted some a recent change in working later more often. However that he also took the idea of losing weight to heart.

Without naming, there is an HSN host who anyone watching often knows some guests selling products do not seem quite as warm with. But she has a big following and sells. A hint on how the company feels about her, they sent her to California to exclusively host from there for a weekend.

She's just about my favorite HSN host.

I always watch her shows completely.

While I realize I'm putting myself out there to possibly be referred to as "some idiot" I did not realize that these three hosts were let go, aka fired. I occassionly watch HSN, but today as I watched an online product video with Leslie Ann Machado, I realized I hadn't seen her lately. And Shannon Smith, hasn't she been there since day one? Very disappointing. Does QRate have a "Fire Their Asses" Department with a staff who take great pleasure in ruining peoples' lives?
