I don't watch HSN but they had an hour I was interested in watching so I DVRd it.

Is HSN not HD? The picture is so grainy and the text has a blur to it. It looks like a basement public access program instead of professional programming.

I watch HSN a lot and it's always in HD.  And had been forever, it seems.

It's probably HD on cable or satellite, but may not be on antenna.  I have antenna and HSN's definition isn't very good.  It may depend on the over-the-air broadcaster in your area.

Depends on who your provider is.

DISH used to have all of the sale channels in HD but not any more. They say it takes up too much bandwith that they can use some place else.

I use over the air reception.

Althought the tuner on my tv is HD capable, the local affiliate picking up and re-broadcasting the HSN signal may not be sending in HD.

I sometimes think the affiliate may only re-broadcast in HD during peak viewership hours, or may reserve that capability for their most lucrative channels.

  Just guessing at that.
