Re: HOW TO RUIN GARDEN SHOWS1

Seems most all of the QVC Hosts are talking fast and loud  to rush through info  so they have more time to  talk nonsense. They are all getting too much , but  obviously QVC management want it that way .  I mute often  or go online , however sometimes you want to hear a presentation to see if some pertinent info was provided  that I need to consider a purchase.

Have to say---I don't watch any show hosted by RD--he makes my teeth hurt---and all day gardening is so boring ----as is any 24 hours of one thing-----

You have to keep gardening presentations upbeat and Exciting for customers like ME to keep our interest. 🌸

Besides I think they know what they’re doing by now. 🥴

Re: HOW TO RUIN GARDEN SHOWS1

I have always ordered during the garden shows, it is my downfall! But so far I have ordered from HSN but nothing from QVC-the difference is in the way the presentations are done.

God Bless Rick for hosting along side of the Queen herself...Martha Stewart lol! I'll bet he needed a few stuff drinks after those shows! I respect Martha but not a fan. She comes off as very "entitled" in my book! Dan Hughes made a comment about her not being the easiest person to work with and I believe him!

Re: HOW TO RUIN GARDEN SHOWS1

I enjoyed Rick paired with Martha Stewart. There was a bit of verbal sparing between them, much like a brother and sister would do.  Even when Martha corrected him over how he sliced the ham or if he ever was to Madagascar or Tanzania as she has, he jokingly pointed it out at the end of the segment. Martha responded with a concern if she would be invited back. It was a cute exchange. Overall, her products are of high quality even if her presentations can come off at times as condescending. Rick was cool, calm and collected and wasn't intimidated.  IMO, Rick is a professional.

I like how Rick jokes around with Martha. 😂

Even asked her if she had any connections so he could have dinner at the Bedford Restaurant in Las Vegas (which she owns). 😂

I’m trying to think… but I don’t know of any other host that dares to joke around with Martha??

Alberti plays it cool and flatters her with compliments.

Re: HOW TO RUIN GARDEN SHOWS1

SANDRA has ruined the garden shows.  She ruins every show, but now they have "given her" the garden shows, and she maniacally speed mumbles through them (just like she does with any other show she hosts.)

Gardening is supposed to be restful, good for the soul etc etc, and it is.  But watching Carolyn Gracie and Rachel Boesling go totally 'hard sell' today, is giving me a headache.  It's horrible, and truly stopped me watching, and so I didn't buy anything from them.
i wish QVC would listen to the many customers who complain about this regularly.

I really like Carolyn and buy quite a few of her things. I tuned in Saturday when she was on with Rick; they were selling a hydrangea tree. Carolyn didn't allow Rick to speak! Everytime he started a sentence, she interrupted and he stopped talking. Not sure if she was in host mode or what but I actually yelled at the screen for her to let him talk!  She was really pushing that tree and it did sell out! I love her, but it seemed she forgot she wasn't the only one on air. She got so excited she began talking too long about her apron (viewer commented about it) and Rick had to remind her they had to see lanterns! Maybe she thought she was on her garden chat!

Re: HOW TO RUIN GARDEN SHOWS1

@CABRIT    I never could stand Carolyn and so glad she is NO longer a host. She always came off that way with pressure sales, at least to me. I didn't see the show, but could absolutely see your point of view and know that is accurate from my years watching her in the past.
