Just realized the Luz Claiborne rep that replaced Linda Davies is now with H by Halston....
I like watching Cameron Silver very much. He's very personable

Have to politely disagree.  I cannot stand to watch Cameron Silver and do not like the Halston line at all.  Would much prefer to be able to watch George Simonton.  Halston line is way over priced and bland IMO.

Like the sweaters in the Halston line and think Cameron Silver is quite personable. The line seems to be up to date to me.  Liked George Simonton, but sort of grew bored wth it.  Might be the same for Halston in the future.

I think H for Halston has some nice pieces like any other line.  I thought some of reps were hired by QVC and others work directly for the company selling the product.  Liz Clairborne went down hill quickly and I will not miss them.  Prices on all the lines are going up and as far as I am concerned, way too much considering you can't try it on immediately and you pay for shipping.  Cat Very Happy

I've been disappointed in H by Halston collections. I bought a cardigan and had to return it. The fabric was awful, and the cardigan was too blockish. I looked forward to see what they would bring, and the line for me was unattractive. I rarely watch anymore as I didn't see anything interesting.

It's not Cameron. It's the product for me. And I don't think Carolyn is going to help it any.

Wow, it looks like his entire line is on sale and still doesn't sell. When you put something on sale, and it still hangs around, either it's not low enough or no one is buying. I don't think it's prices as his prices are in line with other designers.

As an aside, I noticed GILI had their Obi belts on sale for $40. Guess that $99. price wasn't going to get rid of them. I didn't want one for $99. or $40. Actually if it were free, no, just don't want the stuff cluttering up my recently purged closet.

It's nice to see the new rep for Halston again, I always liked her. I guess it's a bit much for the Halston guy to be running back and forth from the west coast. I like the H by Halston line. I bought a down coat from them last winter and love it, also a boy friend sweater, silk and cashmere that I'll have for years.

@febe1  When sweaters/knits from Halston & other vendors are shown, they're on hangers. It's difficult to see the true lines of an item when it's sadly so out of shape. I've never purchased Halston. The fabric seems flimsy, tops are too long for me and pieces are expensive.

@just wonder  I dress in a quite minimal style w/ solid, neutral colors. If Halston is too bland for me, it's really bland!! 😜

Maybe having a rep frees him up to do other things.  I remember Joan Rivers wasn't on all the time.

I have purchased many items from the H by Halston line and love all of what I have received IMO this line is classic and the fabrication is lovely Cameron describes exactly what the style is and what the garment is made of the faux suede is lux and and the silk cashmere is quite sophisticated looking I suppose it is a matter of taste I would not buy or prefer to wear any Denim &Co items as it appears to be a brand I would see at walmart or Kmart or any other store such as that but to each his or her own I thought it was important to express my point of view since this became a forum on bashing halston instead of a review
