I would have to agree with you.  Hearing her sucking on that mint made me change the channel.  I know talking so much their mouths get dry, but it would be less distracting if they took a sip of water between items.  I believe most viewers would understand them doing that.  Tonight she reminds me of a man with a wad of tobacco in his cheek.  Tonight her 'sucking' noises are very obvious.

I think they are trying to "glam" her up to take away from the fact that she mispronounces so many words along with speaking so fast that she is not easy to watch..... I change the channel when she is the host.

I think she is so cute, love her hair and style. I just can't watch her very long. It's her fast talking and the way she calls everyone a nic-name. I think she is probably very sweet, but i wish qvc would put more effort into calming her down, and stop with the way she nic-names everyone she comes in contact with. She could be a truly amazing host.

Oh good grief.  First the thread  about how unprofessional and sloppy the female hosts look and now this.  Darned if you do and darned if you don't!

Must be something going on with the heavy makeup thing.  I've noticed what you're talking about on QVC, but also on the few shows I watch on HGTV.  It's so distracting and looks ridiculous.  The fake lashes are the worst.  Especially when they are teamed up with heavy eyeliner.  Yuk.

The slang, fake words and sometimes the nicknames are all very distracting - not classy.

Oh I wish I would have seen Amy all glamed out. I think she's a doll anyway, she used to get all dolled up when she was LR's side kick. Was never a LR fan, but she kind of did keep the new hosts in line. I love to watch Courtney to see what she's wearing and her hair and makeup is always perfect.

Im getting to the point of recording all shows Im interested in, then watch it in fast forward!  This way I dont have to watch or listen, just look at the products!  Its sad but that how its become.  Big egos, loud hosts, constant bragging, overtalking etc etc!!  I wont mention specific hosts, but theyve ruined what used to be enjoyable shopping.
