I have been getting a few notifications that my orders shipped. I only have one order that is still "preparing". Why am I getting so notifications that my orders have shipped when it's only one and it hasn't?

@Pecky - QVC sends way too many notifications about orders. I think some people like being updated all the time, but since I already receive notifications from the couriers (which are far more accurate), I really only need/want one from QVC to let me know my item has officially shipped. Lately, I get the shipping alert plus at least two "your order will arrive soon" alerts plus "your order arrives today" plus "your order has arrived" and sometimes more. It's easy enough to delete them, but they aren't useful.
As for getting notifications on items with a "Preparing Your Order" status, that happens because QVC is slow to update the "Order Status" page at times. I've even received items that were still listed in the "preparing" status. And it seems like the lag is even longer after a big free shipping event. I ended up placing quite a few orders over the past week, and I have four UPS notifications that items from QVC are on the way, but only one order is listed as "Shipped." Hopefully, the system will catch up soon so I can connect the UPS tracking to the incoming items.

I'm also getting odd notifications about shipping.
Last week, I got two separate notifications that my order had shipped, but yet I had not placed any orders at all. I checked my account and I didn't have anything on waitlist or advanced order that was in process. Strange.
I did order something on Sunday and I received a notification that it shipped. When I checked my account, it was still process. I'm assuming they didn't update my account information yet.
I'm trying not to think too much about it because so far it doesn't look like anything in my account has been compromised, but it's still annoying to keep having to check my order status for things I know I didn't order.
