The annual Memorial Day ceremonies were held this morning at The Intrepid Museum, Pier 86 (46th and 12th.)

Marines guard the wreaths which were later tossed into the Hudson River.

You would think with all the hyperventilating over this particular day, peeps would have actually started a nice thread about it. With lovely pictures. Instead of using a faux outrage thread to virtue signal.

Somebody? Anybody? There's not even a Memorial Day thread in the Holiday forum.

@We rescue cats began a thread on May 24 commemorating Memorial Day in the Holiday forum. @Lakelife62

I purposely did not start a thread because I know how certain posters are. I wasn't about to let others get their personal digs in on such an important day.
