Okay, I admit, I put up a frantic title on this so everyone will read it, but there is truth in the title of this post!! MUST READ!
I purchased a Sleep Number bed from QVC in FEB. of 2013 and my husband and I never really liked it but put up with it because who sends back a bed? Well here it is a year later and we both wake up moaning about the bed so I decided what the heck, I'll give QVC a call and see if there is any recourse.
I was told certainly, we could return the bed almost a FULL YEAR after purchase and sleeping on it. WOW! (I would have to pay the shipping fees---I think I can do that) THEN, I was asking about the address to ship and how to ship a bed and the wonderful CS lady says wait, so I wait and she comes back to say they will pick up the bed.
Again, WOW so I make some statement about boxes and she says wait again...Okay, they will BRING the boxes with them when they come to pick it up.
I never expected QVC to be able to take this bed back, in fact I mentioned this to the operator that I was calling just out of desperation to see if they might get Sleep Number to give a portion of the money back so I could donate the bed and buy another one.
I have always been a big QVC shopper and my husband has always teased me about simply ordering anything and having it delivered but now, he's my biggest cheerleader. "Get it from QVC" is what he says about everything now.
Thank you QVC, Customer Service & Sleep Number. Talk about standing behind a product, this was above and beyond what was necessary and I am thrilled to be associated and do business with this company.

I do remember a show host once indicating that if you wanted to return the bed, they came back and packaged it and picked it up.
Although this is one purchase I would never make from a shopping channel and while that's nice of Q and Serta to do that, I can't imagine sleeping on a bed for an entire year and deciding to return it.

How fortunate you are...I had no idea they would take a mattress back after a year ...and even pack it up and take it away.....
I'm sorry the Sleep-Number bed didn't work for you....I have heard Pro and Con about those beds...
I bought a Serta, from the Q, several years ago....I love it....

I'm sort of surprised they'll take it back after this long... I could understand where thirty days might not be long enough to know if a bed or mattress is going to work, but over a year later... Wow... I've generally found QVC and their CS to be pretty fair minded, but I agree, this is above and beyond. Good for you, OP. Like others, I'd not likely buy an item like this without testing it first, which would mean buying locally, but they must sell a lot of them, as they surely program them regularly.

As the poster above me said I cannot believe they would take it back after a year? But, good for you and your husband. Sounds like it is easier to send back then a computer [from the posts I have read.] I would never order a bed from TV either.

We have 2 Sleep Number beds. When I purchased them I also purchased a 2in. memory foam pad for both. I would never buy a regular mattress set again. With Sleep Number you can have a different bed every night. Love it. Purchased them at sleepnumber.com Great CS there too.

I love mine and have had it for more than 10 years. I bought it at a store though - would never buy a mattress online since it is so personal. Glad you could send it back and hope you find what you need.

I am super surprised. I have never heard of returning something one year later. I wonder if they have had a lot of problems with this bed? You are LUCKY...thank your lucky stars...
