QVC is in business to make money.  Period.  That is their goal.

They have and will continue to offer items that sell and items that offer the highest profit margins that sell are offered as often as possible.

Grocery items sell and they bring in big money, with very little overhead.

The vendor companies, store and ship.  QVC just presents and collects the money.  They do little work for high profits and there are no returns that they have to deal with, store and resell.

Processing returns is super expensive.  Yes, they do return your money if not satisfied, but that is small potatoes.

Businesses will do whatever works for them and will not change unless it brings in more money.

@Carmie

My purchase history over thirty years confirms what you wrote!!!

I bought a lot....some were duds....most were not...

I guess that's why I still tune in.....that, and it's a lot more fun than EVERYTHING else on TeeVee these days....Most stuff I laugh at, don't need, would never buy, but every once in a while....

And truth is...I HATE to shop...but I do like to buy...Put  stuff right in front of me and sell it to me... and I may buy even if I didn't know I needed it...

And Mr .Brown puts it right on my doorstep...which I've really gotten used to .

QVC, HSN and Chewy for my pets and the grateful ferals....Fed Ex and UPS...and occasional real life purchases at Walmart or Aldi. ...that's where it all goes these days..

I would be sad if QXH went off the air...for many reasons, not all shopping related. So I hope they keep on selling all the stuf they present...

Watching the food shows over the weekend I realized many of them have ship dates in Oct-Nov-Dec.  I expect many orders placed are cancelled before they are shipped.  You don't get charged till it ships so I bet many will change their minds and cancel.  I'm not one to decide in September what I want to give as food gifts in December; just me.  I'd rather choose something closer to the holidays; in store or online.

I bought the 4 St Clair sides, and no, they weren't $100, they were $79, less than they were during CIJ, and around the same price as I paid for them last year.  I'll use 2 for Thankgsgiving and the others either at Christmas or for other meals.  Worth it to me to cut down the stress of holiday cooking/entertaining.

I bought these during CIJ and you are correct!

They were $79.98 then.

I buy these every year and think they are delicious. Woman Happy

@jackiejenny Good to know!  Any particular ones your favorite?  @Icegoddess how about you which ones are your favorites?

Hi @rockygems123!  The mac-n-cheese is my favorite of the four, but the dutch crumb sweet potato pie is a close second.

With that, you don't need a dessert! Woman Happy

They are really all good though and worth the $$$ to me.

My complaint with the food shows is the amount you have to buy!

I understand the shipping, etc., just can't use that much food at one time.  My freezer is small, there's just me to eat it all.

@rockygems123 Usually, as long as one isn't a casserole with broccoli in it, I'll like it.  I don't think I've had the hashbrown casserole before, so interested to try that one.  The cornbread dressing is quite good.  The flavor profile is very similar to mine which has always been a problem whenever I tried ready-made dressing from local places, including Cracker Barrel one year.  The Mac & Cheese is pretty good and that's what my daughter wants.    The sweet potato casserole is good, although I think I'm the only one in the family that likes sweet potato casserole.

I have a sweet potato casserole recipe that's really good.  It's supposed to be a healthier version and includes pumpkin.  My nephew was like no thanks because of the pumpkin until he tried it, LOL.  Mine's not quite as healthy as the original recipe since I use full fat dairy products.

@rockygems123  I just read your post about the St Claire sides, and I have to agree that they are pretty good, and I too bought them in Christmas in July.

I wanted to ask you if you have tried the Family Farms bacon wrapped chicken stuffed with 2 or 3 cheeses?

OMG! They are quite delicious and filling. Got them on Auto Delivery. You may want to check these out. 🤤

I am sure the  Thanksgiving TSV from Corkys will be coming up in the next few weeks. Do you get it?

I do, but this year we are having that holiday catered by a restaurant that we used last year. It was fantastic. I put my order in yesterday.

I will still get the Corkys TSV for either Christmas or New Year's Day.

I love the smoked turkey breast the ham was good too.

Some complained about it last year but I was satisfied.

I enjoy the food shows.  I don't buy much, but what I do buy I love.  I hope they never cancel my auto-delivery for my Egg Harbor Salmon, or my select wines.

I have a couple of things from CIJ for holiday delivery that makes my shopping & planning much, much easier.

If there are 25 items in a show, I'm probably tempted by 2 of them, and may actually purchase 1 of those.

@KBEANS places are already taking catering orders for Thanksgiving? Wow.

I guess if you snooze, you lose!
