Food presentations

[ Edited ]

Watched some w/David and Steve. The Q needs to remake how those are done. Does David really need a taster? My impression is he is like a bird perched over the food.

It is not good television. If his diet is now lo-carb,etc then he shouldn't be selling high carb. Are we told it is bad for us? It gets kinda preachy.

Perhaps just have Steve do all the presentations and David not be there for those type of foods he can't eat.

I think one host and product representative should be enough for a presentation.  Having a second host, calling in other tasters from the crew start to get out of control because people are talking over one another.  What ever happened to taking testimonials calls for most products.  Calls are very rare.  Also, consider that on the second channel the food shows, kitchen shows are boring, hard to watch and listen to because there are very limited presentation opportunities, most of the product specialists are remote with challenged audio and no food samples for the host to experience.  It is truly an acting experience for the host.

What a silly non-issue.

David has lost weight and no longer eats some of what's offered. To ask him to not sell products he won't eat is ridiculous. He sells what people like, not what he likes.

What if a host was allergic to a certain ingredient. Would you expect them to taste it anyway? There is no difference with David.

So what if someone else tastes for him.  It's probably one nice thing Q has done for him.

The monarchs of olden days had tasters. And David watching the taster makes for bad television. Here is an idea: nobody taste the food.

@CalminHeart

I completely agree with you, such a non-issue. It is interesting to see how many people here fancy themselves tv producers with so many fabulous ideas yet here they are stuck behind an anonymous keyboard. Must be frustrating, which might explain some of the even more bizarre posts that I've seen about how he's suffering an identity crisis because he's used to being fat David and doesn't know how to be skinny David. Some of the posts here are very entertaining. Smiley Very Happy

The message the Q is sending is that lo-carb is bad for you. Completly different issue than the allergy thing.

You can read anything into anything. Why get in an uproar over something as silly as having a taster. Bottom line, if it sells and makes Q money, they'll sell it however they can or want.

Because it looks bad. Is the Q starting to believe in its own magic?

If David won't eat the stuff he's selling why should we?

When it comes to the food shows the complainers must realize they're just spinning their wheels (or maybe they don't). The last quarterly report shows that this area of sales is doing  very well. They're not going to make a change because a few women on the forum want David to eat more, lol.
