For those of you who watched ITKWD last night (11/8), did you notice that David had a chalkboard entitled 'Steve's Big Bites?' On the board, he kept a record of the bites Steve was taking. I felt that was totally unnecessary and unkind to Steve, who has to tolerate it and pretend it's funny just to keep his job. At one time, David was the one shoveling it in like there was no tomorrow. It's beyond time for Steve to move away from being David's court jester as he is a good presenter on his own. I don't understand why QVC allows, or maybe promotes, David's attempts to demean Steve. Shame on David and shame on QVC.
Also, did anyone notice when David was presenting the TSV apples one of the apples had a huge brown spot on it and he very quicikly ditched it? I've purchased apples at the grocery, only to bite into one and find a rotten spot; these things happen, albeit, not a good selling point.

Oh brother, I wondered how long it would take someone to get on the poor, mistreated Steve bandwagon. Ridiculous. Nobody plays into that name more than big bite himself (and the dude can really take huge bites!). Everyone was having a great time enjoying themselves , laughing, and tasting the food.
Yes, I know, it's so horrible, and the next comment will be "but he has to do it if he wants to keep his job." Apparently some of you think that Steve is so weak and such a child that he couldn't possibly speak up for himself That's quite an insult for a successful, grown man.

Ro Ro! Mamacita Mama!
Actors all, following the scripted shenanigans crafted by the writers.

Well,Steve is an actor.

I watched the food shows on and off yesterday. As for that guy Steve, all I could think of was "Wow! How does he eat all that food without getting sick?" Also, he stays thin; how does he do that? He said he does a lot of exercising. Well, today he must be scheduled for hours at the gym. Maybe I'm just jealous. All my life, I have struggled with a weight problem. Right now, I am making frequent trips to my PCP for weight and blood pressure checks. All that food Steve ate yesterday looked so good to me. Alas, I cannot eat much of anything these days, except vegetables, fruit, lean protein, small amounts of carbs. I have even been told to cut back to one coffee per day. So, Steve should eat what he can now that he is still young and has a good metabolism to burn up the calories. Honestly, it's a sales tactic. Some of the other infantile behaviors from some QVC hosts bother me way more than the issue of Steve's "big bites."

Hopefully Ro Ro won't need any special counseling for such insensitivity. ![]()

It is my humble opinion that Steve plays into the demeaning 'big bite' nonsense because he wants to keep his job. You assert that as a successful, grown man he can speak up for himself. It's not that easy when you're the new kid on the block and up against a longtime, beloved host as well as the powers that be. We're all entitled to our own opinions.

It's only demeaning to the people who want it to be and the majority of those posters are ones who want to find a way to shade David. It's far more transparent than those posters seem to realize.

The last quarterly report shows that this area of sales is doing very well. They're not going to make a change because a few women on the forum want David to eat more, lol.
I think it’s a bit more complex than a few women on a board wanting David to eat more. This small group represents a greater number. That is how focus groups work.
David does not have to eat food, but he should at the very least say while I choose not to eat carbs, I do know everything in moderation is fine. That is why I test small bites.
What he can’t do is tell you to buy the very item he won’t eat. That is disingenuous to the viewer.
The problem in this country is not carbs, it’s portion control. David could use that as a selling point

"I think it’s a bit more complex than a few women on a board wanting David to eat more." @manny2
As another poster mentioned we're all entitled to our opinions and I completely disagree.
As for David talking about what he eats, what he doesn't, and why, this has been addressed many times according to those who also complain about him repeating himself. Anyone watching a TV shopping channel for nutritional advice or diet tips is definitely in the wrong place.
David's many, many years of success in this area and the success that QVC is having in the area of food sales is a far better indicator that things are going well than a few unhappy women on a forum.
