Fine Jewelry Packaging

Can you believe the way QVC ships fine jewelry? I ordered a necklace that cost $499 and a ring that sold for $535. QVC shipped the necklace in a plastic sandwich bag. The ring was wrapped in a 2 inch square of bubble wrap. What happened to the nice suede-like ring boxes? And they used to have rectangular necklace boxes or pouches. You would think for that kind of money (all 14K items), they could do a little better with packaging the item. With this, you don't have a good place to store the items.
