Also known as baby talk. There was a time when women always ended their sentences in up speak. Men never did. The Women's Movement saw it as weakness and pushed for stopping it. Can you imagine a man talking like Ali? It sounds like a little girl talking like a baby.

@febe1   There was another host - long gone.   She came in with Kristine Zell and two other hosts - all of which are gone.   Can't remember her name - southern accent - blonde - who always sounded like she was asking a question.  It was so annoying.  I was delighted when she left.

@soozer    I noticed but attribute it to her not being the center of attention as usual.  Everyone calling in is raving over CCB and how they've loved her for years, Yada, Yada.

Kerstin is have to play second fiddle to a cute, YOUNGER, successful blonde.

@They Call Me MR Wilkes    Thanks for that photo.   Kristine just couldn't get her act together.  She always had a dumb look on her face and tons of mistakes.   The one on the top middle was the one who always sounded like she was up speaking or ending every sentence with a question.  The one on the top right was kind of cute and funny but I guess the powers that be weren't impressed.  The girl next to Courtney was great.  I'll never understand why they dumped her.

Alex Butler was famous for her "the bomb dot com" commentary and lasted barely a few months.

@They Call Me MR Wilkes   Yes, Mary Nelson is the one I was referring to.  Yes, I remember Alex Butler.   I actually liked her.  They could have talked to her and given her a chance.  They've been patient with Rosina Grosso and she's still terrible.
