The Q does seem to be for women who enjoy ordering clothes from television.  That should be for everyone!

I find the remark about shopping at Walmart, thrift stores and flea markets to be quite condescending.

i find the constant whining about clothing prices on the Q to be unreasonable considering all the other options in the big ole world.

Then it would seem to me if you're bothered by the "constant whining", you'd not bother with threads about pricing complaints.

Rather than prices going down they have gone up on many of the items I have in my wish list.  I thought after QVC had the product in their inventory for several months they may bring the prices down, but that is not the case in regards to items in my wish list.

I continue to check periodically to see if prices may change for the better, but so far, it has not - they have only continue to go up for those items in my wish list.  Oh well......guess I won't be buying them then.

I have found Amazon clothes shopping to be helpful many times.

Recently I shopped for Vince Camuto gathered sleeve chiffon blouses. Amazon had dupes for a lot less that looked decent!
Amazon will actually find the best deal for me on designer brands when I do a search.
Their return process is easy and it makes me feel secure that I can return if the item doesn't work out.

The cost of clothing is out of control, but what I've seen on QVC recently has me scratching my head.  I was debating about purchasing 2 of the AnyBody vest at $66.98 each.  But due to my hesitation I missed the 'sale' price and the price returned to $80.00.  What?!?!?!?  $80.00 for half a jacket, it has no sleeves.  That's just crazy, especially when I recently bought a Denim & Co. denim jacket (TSV) at $54.98 with a regular price of $73.00.

Both of these brands are QVC and to me Denim & Co. is the 'better' brand but how do you charge $80.00 for a vest?  I thought being a house brand eliminates the middleman, doesn't seem like it here.  What is the justification for charging $80.00 for a vest when I can get a whole jacket for $73.00?  I just don't get it.

QVC do better.

Unfortunately, prices of clothing don't necessarily equal logic.  Back in the day, when I was able to wear a bikini, I can remember paying $$$$$ for a skimpy bit of fabric, but then I would see a one piece bathing suit for only $$.  Less material for a higher price.  So, even way back when, things that should have been less expensive weren't necessarily so.  🤔👙

There has been many discussions here about this issue. When everyone stops purchasing perhaps they will get the picture.

Obviously that isn't going to happen.  And I don't think they can significantly reduce prices even if they want to.  They still expenses to pay.  They still have debt to pay.  They still have salaries and benefits to pay.  None of those things are going down.

QVC has never claimed to be the least expensive retailer out there.  Their use of Value doesn't mean cheap or inexpensive--more like a good deal for the price.

As stated upthread, there are many options and everyone should do what works best for their situation and taste.

I do believe the Value should be significantly better than what we could expect to pay at a department store.  Lately they're pricing out higher than department stores for similar items.  After all, they do own most of the brands.

 They can do better.

I could care less what people do or don't buy, what they spend, or if they consider need vs want!  No one is forcing anyone to buy from the Q or any other retailer. It's a personal choice and personally I don't care what anyone else chooses.

We all know prices have gone up and most are adjusting so do you but enough complaining about clothing prices.

Like yourself, I'm just posting my opinion.

The OP started this thread about price increases.
