If you've had to change your nickname please put your original name in your signature.  You can add a signature under settings or just type it each time in your posts.

I'm seeing all of these new nicknames and have no idea who people are.  It's quite confusing.  Thank you very much if you do this.

Another idea is to go into settings and change your nickname yourself.  You could make it your original nickname as some have done and just add something like a number after it.

ITA. I don't understand why anyone would not do this or hasn't done this already.

Re: FOR THOSE WHO HAD TO CHANGE YOUR NICKNAME

   @novamc ,

Another user name was substituted for my name (Hedge) without it being requested. I've since changed it to x Hedge.

Cakers lost her name and although her post count remains, her registration date jumped to 2015.

i haven't read of anyone else noting changes in either post count or date.

The situation between QVC and me has now become so comical that I don't care whether it ever gets fixed.  I'm done with ordering from QVC and doing anything but reading things on the website.

.

After posting here since 2010.....then getting  bumped off and forced to create another nickname in 2015 (which wiped out all my previous posts).....  and now trying in vain to straighten out the current problems............

Here's what has been done to ,me IN JUST THE PAST FEW DAYS AFTER ONLY THREE POSTS by the superior brains in some IT department somewhere.............and the website won't even let me log out.

ALSO QVC:  would you kindly let me log out instead of keeping me logged in to this mess all day, all night, every day?  Your company has way too much personal info about me to allow this to continue and be vulnerable to hacking.

@novamc,

You can go in and delete your credit card and just use it when you buy something.

@novamc

Those "rankings" are automatic, a part of the pre-programmed forum software the Q purchased when they transitioned to this platform in summer 2015.

It's system software no actual person has a hand in and, evidently, they can't customize to eliminate it.

The "rankings" are meaningless, just some algorithm that looks at how long ago the poster registered the account, number of logins, hearts given, posts made, etc.

I wish they could be suppressed since they're an anoyance to some and tell us nothing useful about each individual.

Did you contact the QVC Social Team and ask them to look at what I posted earlier on the thread?

Your posts haven't been wiped out, they are still there under your usual posting account.

The moderators need to contact someone who can talk with you on the phone, or via email, and send you a link to let you reset the email address, or the password, or both, on that account, or whatever is necessary to let you regain access to it.

I was so happy to see your name here, hoping you had good news.

I am so, so sorry you've had such a time getting QVC to help you.

I'm disappointed in the tech mess and the lack of help we've seen.

Sending good wishes to you.

@novamc,  I would like to try to help.

I did a search in the user file for your name "novamc" and there are 2 results.

This link is the search:

https://community.qvc.com/t5/forums/searchpage/tab/user?advanced=false&auto_complete=false&q=novamc

Here's a screenshot:

The one you're currently using has a registration date of 11-16-2010 and at the moment has only 1 post (the one I'm responding to).

You can see it at this link:

https://community.qvc.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/81546

The other one you want to get back to has a registration date of 07-02-2015 with 4,425 Posts.

You can see it at this link:

https://community.qvc.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/230563

So, there is some good news since your posts haven't been deleted -- you just need a way to access that account.

Why don't you try sending an email to the moderators at QVCSocialTeam@qvc.com,

direct them to this thread,

and ask them to help you regain access to the 2nd account.

That's the only thing I can think of that might work.

I'm so sorry for your frustration -- for everyone's frustration.

At this point, there are so many problems and they've been going on for days and days, and I just don't understand why this isn't being addressed and resolved.

Good wishes to you, hoping this will be sorted out soon.

Re: FOR THOSE WHO HAD TO CHANGE YOUR NICKNAME

@NickNack - I wasn't able to sign in for 4-5 days.  Tried 2X to reset password (no change) and createda new password.  Still unable to sign in.  CS was contacted twice and said IT was working on it and wait a couple days.  Two days later I am able to sign in.  I came across my post about it.  Shanus replied to it and asked if they had changed ny nic.  Sure enough they did.  I used to be LoveToChat and now I am WORKING GAL.  QVC did not inform me they changed it.  I'm going to keep it as I don't want to rock the boat with all the problems I had. QVC has too many website problems.

Hi, my friend!   That is so kind of you.   Truth be told, I'd volunteer to help if only that were possible.   Some of the problems could have such easy fixes (many of us here who have IT backgrounds could form a fabulous team and keep the system in much better working order (sigh), if only it were possible).

I just feel so bad seeing all of these problems.

Something I've enjoyed the most in my career has been the time spent with employees who ran into tech problems and being able to help them find the solution.

Very hard to do that here.

I've been away from the forums for several days and, so far, it looks like there aren't quite so many reported glitches...

but at the same time I still see a few reports of login, nickname, password, and the dreaded looming "QVC is Even Better on the App!" monstrosity...

so I know all is not well "under the hood"of this contraption.

Wish I had a good solution for all of this.

Thanks, again, @Spurt, and I hope you and yours are doing well.❤️

I am doing well, thanks for asking, and the compliments I gave to you are well deserved......

I don't know why QVC couldnt assign a couple of "Special Contributors" to help the IT and Social Team with some of the issues....and in exchange give you the QVC employee discount.....  Back in the 80's there was an internet forum called Prodigy (the brainchild of IBM & Sears) it was a Forum that covered a variety of topics and they designated a few Contributors to help out and write a few articles of interest to participants.....These folks were very helpful, and their Forums were the best.....  Sadly Prodigy abandoned their Forums long ago, and became the prime ISP provider of Mexico with a 92% market share..or thats what I heard.....
