So I have a question for those that have done an exchange in the past. I recently bought a Ring for the first time from the Q. It fits but a little tight and I think it might be a little defective (it's a spinner ring). I have never done a exchange before and I have heard nightmare stories in the past of people having issues with exchanges even before Covid. So I guess my question is what has your experiences with exchanges especially when it comes to jewlery?? I am debating if I should just keep the ring or would it actually might be worth some expected hassle to try and do an exchange.

@hotbuyer

Most of the posts I've read here about exchanges complain that it takes so long to process their exchange, the needed size or color is no longer available.

I personally have never done an exchange (for that reason), so I just re-order my needed size/color and return the unwanted one.

It may cost a couple of bucks more, but if I really want the item, it's worth it to me.

I'm sure others will chime in with their exchange experiences.

I’ve never done a jewelry exchange - only clothing.  The exchanges I did were Pre-Covid and I had no problems other than it took about 2 1/2-3 weeks to receive from the time I put the item to be exchanged in the mailbox.  It does sound like a bigger hassle now though.

Thank you both for experiences. I am definitely thinking now on the side of ordering new one and just returning the old.

Ditto to IG. I did one exchange and it took an eternity. Now I don’t bother and just reorder what I want and return what didn’t work.

If you decide to return and reorder (rather than exchange) be sure to mark it as defective (you mentioned you think it might be) so you are reimbursed for your shipping charges.  If you don't, you will lose money on the original shipping charges plus whatever shipping you paid to get it back to them.
