I was enjoying the removal of the "edited" and date. I see no reason whatsoever that a poster cannot edit their post without it being acknowledged by QVC, what is the point, and now it is back! I would like to see it removed, again.

I agree with you and posted as much on the thread now devoted to issues related to moderating the forums... Initially, the representative agreed and said there was no reason for it. Then, she came back and said that when we edit our own posts it would appear. There appeared to be a real disconnect with the response and it appears it's back and annoying as ever... The only time the notation seems relevant is if the moderator edits someone's post, not when we edit our own. Of all the things they could do to improve the forums, mainly correct functionality issues, this seems completely superfluous.

I was also pleased that they had removed the notation when you come back and edit your own posts. I noticed yesterday that it had returned.
QVC, if you are reading this please remove it.

Anyone who doesn't like the reintroduction of this feature might want to consider going to the community update blog found under The Q We Love, Q News, or Suggestion Box and registering your point of view. One of the Q representatives is actually reading and responding to posts there. Probably won't matter, but might be worth the effort. Who knows...?!

I also am VERY peeved that this feature is back. It serves no purpose to me whatsoever, and seems to be more of a nuisance than ever, and it was wonderful while gone. QVC count my vote as a very unhappy poster. PLEASE ERADICATE THIS FEATURE ONCE AND FOR ALL.

I know. I was so glad when it stopped showing up and then when I edited a post and saw it was back I thought of ALL the things they could have addressed they chose to make THAT a priority... Anyway, I saw the notation had returned and just thought it was a bummer...

I liked being able to correct a typo without the whole world knowing.
Wow, we all agreed on something!

Hi, ladies!
I saw this under discussion in the "Community Update Sept 29, 2014" blog, so I commented there and on my ongoing thread referenced in that blog (thread is here). I just now saw this thread on the same topic, so I wanted to respond here, too, and try to summarize what I wrote elsewhere.
I'm one of those (and not the only one) who is glad the Q restored the edit flag to indicate the poster changed their own post. I think it's more open, honest, forthright. I can't think of another forum that allows a person to alter their words with no notation indicating they did so. In looking back in the old, archived threads here it appears QVC always* has flagged a post when the author modified it.
Yet I can't recall seeing any complaints before now.
I'm wondering, why now after all these years QVC should stop marking these modified posts. And I don't see any harm caused by the flags, especially considering the benefits of knowing someone made changes to what everyone initially read and possibly wrote responses to.
jmo, ymmv
(*With the exception of the few recent weeks when it disappeared evidently while they fixed the problem of the "Report Inappropriate" generating a "last edited" flag.)

My vote goes to KEEP THE ""LAST EDITED & DATE"" !!
Somebody quoted a post of mine & they changed a word & made a joke & when I called them on it they said I changed my post. But I didn't. If the ""last edited"" had been working it would have been obvious I didn't change my post. That was no fun
