Have noticed that sometimes the full price of things is not stated,just the EZ Pay option.

It's the customer's responsibility to know the full cost of a purchase. It's all clearly listed before one hits the last button to buy.

The full price is clearly listed, whether a host mentions it or not.  Emphasis of the easy payment has been going on for years.

Whatever name it's given, a huge portion of what many buy has been determined by its monthly cost for decades, many longer..  Think car payments, mortgages, student loans -  not just clothes, jewelry and cosmetics.
