@honeybeagleI understand -  but free shipping costs far more than EZP does for the company,

What do you think QVC shoppers would be willing to pay to get it?

I can go on record as saying I never spent $$$ between 2 and 6 overnight, so I'm willing to give up live TV those hours.   Also, although I always use EZP when it's offered, I don't have to have it, so I'd give up all EZP

What works for you?

seeing as customers will pay the equivalent of an ezpay extra to get something like an iPad on ezpay, when it can be purchased directly somewhere else for less

I think that tells us everything

ezpay gets sales for more money

I liken easy pay to quicksand.  Not interested.

Anything to increase sales for their overpriced, stale merchandise.

Do you know retailers raise prices to cover free shipping?  How could they possibly give free shipping and not lose money if they didn't raise their prices.

Would it look better if you bought a $50 shirt with $5.00 shipping or a $55 shirt with free shipping?

A study was done where 62% would choose the $55 shirt...but there's no difference between the two except buyers think they are getting a bargain.  They are not.

Despite getting free shipping everyone would complain about the higher prices if QVC did offer it all the time.

However, if the Q charges x dollars and another retailer has the same price and no shipping, a person would be foolish to purchase at the Q.

I use easy pay all the time...only a small amount gets the item to me & if it's a keeper I pay off the balance, if returning I'm not waiting for the total purchase price to be credited on my card. I don't have a Q card, I use a cash back CC that I pay in full every month & I always look for available rebates too.

This logic only goes so far to when they DO offer free shipping and the prices DONT increase. Happened many times over the holidays... so clearly they are able to keep current prices and offer free ship. Most online large retailers offer free ship (some with minimum purchase); it's almost insulting that a non-brick & morter would charge for shipping nowadays.
