Here's the description on the Program Guide:

"Down Home with David

01/10/2019,    8pm-10pm (eastern)

01/17/2019,    8pm-10pm (eastern)

01/31/2019,    8pm-11pm (eastern)

He's a best-selling author and QVC's resident foodie, but most of all, Program Host David Venable is a Southerner, born and bred. And that means hospitality and comfort are at the heart of everything he does.

Join him Thursdays for Down Home with David as he shows you how easy it is to make your house warm and welcoming -- inside and out -- from the guestroom to the garden and of course, the kitchen!

Whether he's sharing tips for gracious entertaining; helping you clean, decorate or declutter; gearing up with today's hottest tech; tackling gardening and DIY projects with ease; or whipping up his latest recipes, David brings it all home Thursday evenings during Down Home with David."

Re: Down Home With David!

[ Edited ]

I don't think any of the hosts have to be an expert with every item they present. The bottom line: they must be able to sell, sell, sell, no matter what the product is. David does that with great success.

I like David but not cooking/kitchen shows. So if David is hosting something other than that I'll give it a chance.

@dooBdoo.  Thanks. So basically it’s the same old stuff probably presented a bit differently than usual.

Don't count on any new products; here's the line-up

TSV Humidifier:  Seen it

Apple Watch:  Seen it

HALO Bolt:  Seen it more times than I care to remember

Bio Cleaner:  Seen it

Campanelli Microfiber Duster Kit:  Seriously, seen it

Candle Impressions Indoor/Outdoor Lantern:  Seen it

Battery Organizer: Seen it

Don Aslett Mats: Seen it

Little Giant Step Stool:  Seen it

Nellie's Laundry Detergent: Seen it on HSN, but points for new on QVC

Slanket:  Seen it

Guard Your ID Rollers:  Seriously?

There's a few more, but you get the point.

Yeah, I think we can definitely expect half of tonight's show to focus on the TSV humidifier, which will be riveting, I'm sure.

Well I haven't watched ITKWD shows on Sunday or Wednesday in years. I stopped because I don't need any more gadgets or stuff for my kitchen. I'm trying to declutter not add to things I only use once in a while.

I don't mind DV as a person or host but I won't be watching another "catch all" show no matter who hosts.

@Johnnyeager Thanks for the info - now I can skip watching since there seems to be nothing there of interest to me.  I bet the TSV takes up most of the minutes anyway since they go on and on and on and on.

All items that have been presented many times before.  How sad for David!  'New' show name but same old boring, repetitive items!
